The sound of big wings flapping occur. Amanda and the others turn around and see a huge bird bigger than Puffin. "Come here, puffin!" The harpy spoke in a creepy male voice. "A hapry!!" Cried Puffin. He tries to escape it and find a place to hide as another harpy appears behind the four royals, laughing maniacally and screeching loudly.
Everyone runs from the harpy. "Puffin, where are you?!" Called Amanda. Yet another harpy appears in front of her and the rest. "Over here!" Puffin said. The four royals find him near another statue as more and more harpies appear, surrounding the group.
"Quick, that way!" Said Puffin as he points to another way. So many harpies have appeared, but there's another path to escape them, and that's just what our gang of heroes do. Two harpies screech at each other as they change their plan.
Suddenly, everyone comes across a dead end. "We've got you. You're trapped!" Said a harpy. His friends follow from behind as they prepare to ambush the rest. While Paul tries to find another way out, Amanda studies the wall they came across, which happens to have a small keyhole. It's not a brick wall, it's a brick door.
"You'll need a key to open this thing." Puffin said. Remembering the key he picked up in the healing forest, Derek takes it out of his shirt pocket and unlocks the door. Once it's open, he and the rest get inside as the harpies follow, but Odette closes the door before those pesky birds could get in. They try ramming into the door to break it down, but nothing helps.
Derek puts the key back in his pocket as one of the harpies looks through the keyhole. "You have to come out sooner or later. When you do, we'll tear all four of you into little pieces and throw you in the Desert of Death!" He said. "We haven't done anything to you!" Said Paul.
"Isn't that a stolen cookie from the cookie tree in your hand? Isn't that a puffin in there with you?! King Abigor doesn't allow puffins anywhere in Dreamvale!" The harpy said. "Who's King Abigor?" Asked Derek. "Who's King Abigor?" Mocked the harpies. They laugh maniacally as they mock the king of Chamberg, and they eventually leave and fly away.
