Home At Last (Finale)

Amanda opens her eyes and finds herself in her bedroom in Chamberg. Paul was right next to her and wakes up as well. The two may be king and queen in the other world, but in their world, they're still prince and princess. They sit up from the bed and find Derek and Odette, who've also woken up in their beds.

"Was it all just a... dream?" Asked Odette. "Not really, look." Said Derek. Odette looks behind her and sees she still has her quiver, horn, and bow that Father Christmas gave her from the previous adventure. "How...?" She trailed off. "I guess since you and I aren't needed in Dreamvale anymore, they wanted us to have something to remember our adventures by." Derek said. He holds up the sword and shield that was given to him by the same guy. "How very generous of them." Odette said.

Paul gives a weak smile. "Do you miss it?" He asked. "Yeah, but it's like what Mariana said. Odette and I learned everything we can in her world, now it's time for us to move on." Said Derek. "At least you two are able to go back soon." Said Odette. "But does this mean... no more adventures for you?" Asked Amanda.

Odette puts her hand on her sister's shoulder. "We may not be going back to Dreamvale, but that won't affect us here. Our adventures in real life are just as important as anything." She said. Knowing her sister was right, Amanda gives a nod.

The Next Day

Though the weekend is nearly over, it's a beautiful sunny day. Children are outside playing, people are walking their dogs, and a lot of other outdoor activities are happening.

As for Amanda, she's in her room reading a book and Paul is trying to work on another song while keeping his wife company. Derek and Odette enter the room and stand in the doorway.

"Come on, you two. It's too nice a day to stay inside." Derek said. "Yeah, let's go for a walk." Odette said. Amanda looks out the window and realizes her siblings are right. "A walk with my family is just what I need! Come on, Paul." Amanda said. "Right behind you, my love." Said Paul.

With that, the two couples kick off their day with a family stroll. But instead of going through the healing forest like the day before, they walk through the park.

Derek and Odette's journey in Dreamvale may have come to an end, but their lives will be filled with lots more adventures to come.

Paul and Amanda know that they'll one day be returning to the magical land, but for them, every day is an adventure.
