Everyone looks through the window of the door as it has a screen like on most houses. "Hello?" Said Paul. His voice echoes through the hall.
Hello?
Amanda opens the door. "What a mess!" Said Puffin. "Come on, Andrew." Said Odette. She and the others enter the castle with Andrew following behind. Music plays in the distance as the group sees how messy the place is. "This Deidamia is some housekeeper." Puffin said.
As Amanda and her group go one way, Andrew goes another. He turns to the others. "I think it's up these stairs, Your Majesties." He said. Everyone walks up the steps where a woman is sitting on a chair and playing a mandolin, which was the music they heard.
"Excuse us, miss. Are you Princess Deidamia?" Asked Derek. "Help me to rise." Said Deidamia in a gentle voice. She holds out her hand. Amanda approaches her and helps her up. "I think I'll put on something more... appropriate. Come with me. Your friends can stay here." Deidamia said. "We're really looking for Mariana." Said Amanda. Though Andrew stays put, Paul, Derek, and Odette have doubts about this princess, so they quietly follow her and spy.
Deidamia takes Amanda to a room where cabinets of disembodied heads are stored. The sight of the heads without bodies made Amanda cringe. Deidamia takes out a key and opens an empty cabinet. "I think number 4 will do for this afternoon." She said while tying her up.
Amanda looks in cabinet 4 and sees the head in it. Deidamia removes the head she's wearing and puts it in the cabinet before her body approaches the one labeled number 4. She opens it with her key and picks it up, holding it in front of Amanda, who lets out a gasp.
"What do you think?" Asked Deidamia's new head. "I think you're very beautiful." Amanda said. "I should hope so. And just who might you be? What are you doing here?" Deidamia asked. "I'm Amanda Swan-McCartney." Said Amanda. Deidamia puts her new head on. "Amanda Swan-McCartney? Last I heard, you were accompanied by your husband, Paul, and siblings, Derek and Odette." She said. "I was, and still am. Anyway, what happened to Mariana?" Amanda asked.
A smirk appears on Deidamia's face. "Come nearer to me." She said. Amanda slowly approaches the head changing princess. "King Abigor took Mariana and all the sapphires back to his mountain. And turned everyone else to stone." Said Deidamia. "Gosh." Said Amanda. "You will be rather attractive one day. Not at all beautiful, you understand, but you have a certain prettiness. Different from my other heads." Deidamia said as she put her hand on Amanda's face. "I'm not following you." Amanda said.
"I believe I'll lock you in the tower for a few years till your head is ready. And then I'll take it." Said Deidamia with a smirk. Amanda pushes the wicked princess's hand away. "I believe you will not!" She yelled.
Refusing to let Amanda get away, Deidamia grabs her arm and starts dragging her to the tower. "Guys, help!!" Cried Amanda. Her family was nearby, so they rush to help as Puffin and Andrew do the same thing. "We're coming, Amanda!" Said Andrew.
Amanda tries kicking Deidamia while Puffin flies in her face. "You, I'll have stuffed for breakfast!" Deidamia yelled. "Let go of my sister, you creature!!" Odette said angrily. The boys try to yank Amanda free from Deidamia's grasp, but she won't let go.
Having enough of their interfering, the evil princess takes Amanda's family too, while Andrew suddenly hits the floor. "Oh dear, my energy has run down." He said. "Ha!!" Cackled Deidamia. "This is too bad, I suppose my fight with the harpies made me tire out faster than usual." Andrew said. "It can't he helped, Andrew!" Paul said.
Deidamia opens the door leading to the tower as she goes up a flight of stairs while dragging Amanda and her group. "What'll you do with Andrew?" Amanda asked. "People will think I have a new servant." Deidamia said.
Puffin tries to break free from the wicked princess's grip in her other hand, but he can't move due to her holding him tightly. Deidamia throws Amanda and the others into the tower and locks them in. She scoffs before leaving them alone.
