Todays the homecoming game and I'm gonna ask my parents when I come home form school since I forgot to ask this morning

I know it's in the evening or so, I just don't know when it ends, which means I don't know what time I'll get picked up at..

I talk to Eliana for a bit, turns out her and James are gonna go on a date, I'm very excited, I'll help her pick her outfit the day of.

We're all going to the game together, I put my afternoon books in my locker that way I have just my morning ones today

"I think we're just gonna go to a cafe, that way it's not too much." Eliana said and I nodded "that seems good." I say

"You sure you're okay?" She asked, I told Eliana about yesterday with Ethan, I told her that I do- or did have feelings for Ethan.

It's still all confusing, because one day we're talking like friends, the next I walk in on him and a girl kissing.

I shrug "I don't know how to feel, if I still like him, if he likes me." I say biting my lip, Eliana and I walk to class and she claps her hands and points at me

"I could ask him if he has any crushes, or interest, he doesn't seem like he uses the term 'crush'" Eliana says and I smiled shaking my head

"That'll be obvious" I say, she shrugged and nodded "I need to redo my hair, my roots are noticeable." She said

Eliana's natural hair is brunette, but she dyes it and right now it's a red, not like ginger red, but not like bright red.

I got to my first period and Eliana goes to hers, there's a sub today and people are sitting where ever they want, the only free seat being next to Ethan.

I take a breath and walk towards the free seat and sit down, he looks at me and I give a soft smile, he turns away.

I clear my throat and turn towards him "can we talk?" I asked, Ethan looks at me

"About what? The fact you saw me kissing someone and wouldn't let me explain? Also told me to stop calling you 'freckles' after telling me you liked me calling you that." He says

I frown "okay, I'm sorry, I just- I don't know it was weird when I walked in on you and her, especially now you basically chased after me" I say, Ethan nods "so what Emilia, why does it bother you?" He asked

I shrugged "I- I don't know.." I said, because I don't. Why does it bother me? Why should I care who Ethan gets with?

Him and I are nothing but friends "I'm sorry, I really am, and I hope this didn't change our friendshi-" he cuts me off "friends?" He asked

I nodded slowly "friends.." I said, Ethan nodded his head and turned around. I sighed and grabbed my book out and read for the remainder of the period.

I put my book away when the bell rings and get up to go to my next class, I sit down and make sure to pay attention because I have no clue why I could barely focus yesterday.

It was last period now and so far I've paid attention in every class.

Which I was glad about, like really glad, my teacher hands us notes to take, then classwork, then homework.

They also tell us about a quiz next week which means I have to start studying, really hope I do good.
