-Ethan Hernandez-
I left Emilia's house around midnight last night, or later. But who cares.
I get ready for school knowing I have to take Cassie to school which will make me late unfortunately.
You know, a few months ago I wouldn't had cared if I was late to school or not, but now I get to see my dove.
Last night, I was so close to telling Emilia I wanted her as my girlfriend, she was so focused on cleaning the cuts from the fight I had gotten in.
I hadn't told her. But I needed to. I was done with doing the bets.
The one I did last night made me think about what the fuck I was doing, because while I was drinking with some girl I remember how my parents used my money for them.
The girl left when I told her, got up and put her clothes back on.
It made me relieved she didn't shed a tear, she didn't seem to care it was a bet, but I'm sure she'd been lying.
I wish it was Emilia. That Emilia and I were the ones skin to skin, lips to lips.
When she comforted me that night, it felt nice, when she gave me some food, it felt nice to have someone look out for me just once.
Last night felt different then the night a few weeks ago, the kiss last night was slow, passionate, innocent. Nothing I had.
The kiss from last week was needy, fast, desperate, nothing innocent. Nothing I wasn't used to.
She was everything those nights, my only focus, for once I had something else to focus on other than my parents getting drunk as shit fighting.
Possibly turning into physical fights. Most times they were, most times they weren't, but each fight I was afraid they'd hit me.
Afraid they'd hit Cassie.
And they better not. Because I will go to prison for my sister, especially when she thinks of them so highly.
She thinks of them so highly when I'm the one there for her, Cassie thinks our parent are the ones who make us breakfast, when in reality it's me.
When in reality I'm the one who's been making sure she eats, she's ready for school, she gets to school safe, that she gets home safe.
That she doesn't hear them argue, as much as I wish I didn't have to lie to her, she needs to know the real them one day.
I run a hand throw my hair huffing out a breath grabbing my bag and shoving what I need for today.
Cassie is almost done getting ready and I start breakfast, planning on going to the store after school to grab some food.
We just have enough for Cassie and I, when she comes downstairs I give her a small smile noticing something's wrong.
"What's wrong?" I asked Cassie "I don't feel good" she mumbled, I stare at her "what's wrong?" I asked
"My tummy hurts" she stated I grab her some water "drink this first?" I asked and Cassie nods and grabs the plastic cup of water drinking it.
"If you don't feel good during school, go to the nurse, yeah?" I offer and Cassie nods
I know I'll have to leave school and pick Cassie up from school, take her to the doctors then stay home with her.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
I drop Cassie off to school and drive to school just barely making second period, with ten minutes left
