[ORIGINAL PLOT BY Roxy-Rox0 ]

Scar backed up, trying to get farther away from his old friend. He had changed into his Hotguy outfit to feel braver. But he didn't think it was working at the moment.

The Entity had found a way to free Mumbo discreetly, and now Scar's outfit change was failing him.

  Because he was absolutely terrified.

Mumbo stepped closer and grinned a bit when a wide eyed Scar stumbled and fell down.

"Mumbo.." Scar said quietly. He didn't like seeing his moustached friend like this.

Mumbo was not intimidating. He wasn't cruel. He was cheerful and respectful. And Scar certainly didn't feel fear when around him.

The Mumbo in front of Scar wasn't Mumbo. They were two different people. That's what Scar told himself.

And Mumbo.. his body only knew what the Being told him. Only knew how to do the 'right things' that the Being wanted, even if those things couldn't be more wrong.

No matter how it broke his ideals or actual personality. Because, Mumbo's body no longer had his personality within him.

It was locked away in that cave. With his real mind and soul tied up and hidden away by the Being's magic.

So the real Mumbo was forced to watch through his own eyes the horrible things that he did. They weren't his eyes anymore. Mumbo wasn't doing those things. Sometimes the actions came to him through nightmares as he slept, and sometimes as visions when he was awake.

Either way, the real Mumbo couldn't do anything.

When his body was attacking Scar, Mumbo was the only one awake. He stared with wide eyes at seemingly nothing as he saw his body in a third person point of view.

"Leave him alone!" Mumbo shouted into the darkness around him, shaking his head as the green strings cuffing his wrists got tighter.

The strings were there to prevent any further damage to the Being's prison for his "friends'" souls.

Mumbo's friends wouldn't wake up or hear him, and neither could or would his body or Scar.

Mumbo watched with wide eyes and in horror as his body did things he knew he would never do. Things Mumbo would never forget. Violent things. Too violent things.

And his body was doing those things to one of his best friends. His kind best friend who wouldn't want to hurt Mumbo, or fight back too much.

Distantly Mumbo wondered if he would cause Scar to gain more scars than the brunette already had.

Mumbo felt tears well up and sting at his eyes. He squeezed his eyes shut to avoid watching and to hopefully stop the tears.

But all those built up emotions from the moments he got the "privilege" of seeing through those eyes that were his yet not.. they demanded a response.

Mumbo wanted to scream, cry, and punch something at the same time. He felt angry, horrified, sad, frustrated, and confused all at the same time. And he just wanted to be free again.

He wanted to hug Grian, to apologize to Scar, to comfort his friends. But the Being prevented Mumbo from doing any of those things.

Mumbo finally felt the tears falling. They burned his cheeks and stung his tightly closed eyes. His throat constricted and hurt from repressed sobs.

Mumbo felt the tears flowing and screamed. He wanted to let all of his emotions out, he wanted to hear his own agony. He wanted the Being to hear his anger and suffering.

But he was glad his friends weren't up to witness his moment of weakness.

So Mumbo just kept screaming and crying until he fell to his knees and just started sobbing. He didn't focus on his body, or on his surroundings. His eyes had run dry, and his throat was scratchy.

Mumbo still felt the wetness of his tears staining his face, but he was only hiccuping at this point. His vocal cords were dry and so were his tear glands.

A hand placed itself on Mumbo's shoulder and he flinched before looking up.

In front of him stood Iskall. He looked sad, and behind him was Impulse.

"Ya alright, Mumbo?" Iskall asked quietly, kneeling down in front of him.

Iskall had a thin green string around his waist to restrain him, and Impulse had a string around his neck.

Mumbo nodded and hiccuped quietly again. "I'm sick of this. I don't want to hurt Scar, I don't want to hurt anyone." Mumbo said quietly, his voice cracking.

Iskall frowned and hugged Mumbo tightly, the string around his waist tightening slightly.

Impulse smiled at them and kneeled down to join the hug. He didn't care that there was a string choking him in that moment. And Iskall didn't care about the thin pain around his waist. Mumbo cared a bit that he couldn't wrap his arms around his friends, but he was glad for their warm embrace.

They knew they all needed it.

Mumbo sniffled and fell asleep like that.

  Safe in his friends' arms.
