Chapter 8: Arrival

The sky's dark and the ground glows bright as the gentle wind pushes the pink flowers. Appear a pair within the field. The rider himself, Hakatsu, sleeps on the lap of his adored pink elf. The gentlewoman caresses his head as he sleeps soundly on her. How long has it been? None of them don't consider counting the time as the realm doesn't apply to any time as if it's an eternal realm.

"Hakatsu... Always pushing yourself too much..." She said with a gentle smile.

Her gentle caress comforts the tired Hakatsu, giving him an amazing rest until he's fully well-rested.

The man's eyes open after getting the rest he needs. Upon clearing his blurry eyes, he is met with a sight of her under his chest. He is surprised by the sight but pays no mind as he understands what she is doing is for him. Noticing a movement from his body, the woman looks down at his face.

"Good evening, Hakatsu~" She greets him.

Hakatsu gets up and sits next to her. The woman wraps her arms around his neck gently, pulling him close to her.

"Elysia?.." He whispers. The beautiful pink elf smiles gently upon him finally saying her name. "Did you get the sleep needed, my dear?" Elysia asked wanting to know if he needs more rest or not. Hakatsu shrugs to answer her. When he is about to get up, Elysia prevents him from going away from her.

"Aw... Leaving this beautiful girl immediately?" She teases.

"Within this realm, there's no need to worry about time. You can stay with me as much as you want, you know?~"

Elysia wants him to not leave her yet. Previously, Hakatsu appeared in the realm and immediately collapsed in front of her. She is worried that he doesn't rest enough before going out to obtain back his Herrscher powers.

Hakatsu sighs and gets up from her arms.

"Abnormality isn't relative to time just like this realm. I have to move out as quickly as ever." Hakatsu stated while looking back at Elysia.

She looks at him and pouts, disappointed by his choice. However, she understands his reason and smiles softly at him before getting up from her sitting position.

"Well then, go get 'em, tiger!"
Elysia cheers him up.

The man smiles at her for the support. Hakatsu gets on his bike and activates a portal leading to an abnormal point.

2014

A portal appears out of thin air on an empty street and with it comes out Hakatsu riding his bike. The man looks at the date he arrived on his bike monitor. "2014? Nearly a century later after him." He comments before letting his helmet off his head. Hakatsu looks around him and finds the area arrived in seems more modern. An obvious look for a more modern world.

Before he does anything, he looks at his cards. Looking through the cards, among all the other cards, the Herrscher of Thunder seems more vibrant within this era. He may be lucky that he could meet the previous Herrscher but he can't rely on his luck too much. However, he still can rely on why he arrived in the designated area upon arrival as it hints at where the Herrscher could be around.

He walks around to find a place where he can find information regarding the status of the city. Eventually, he found a newspaper telling all the latest situations within the city and the world. Nothing is going on currently, and generally, just about how Schicksal has suppressed the development and invasion of Honkai itself. 

He wonders how he will be able to find the Herrscher of this current era. Usually, the awakening of a new Herrscher takes time near the abnormal point. Taking prior moments for Herrscher of Reason, the Herrscher will come to him in a specific situation. He checks his wallet and finds several notes of money. "Oh yeah, I'm in the 2010s. I should be able to trade my money for yen." He thought.

Turns out, the value of his money is not far from dollars just by half. After converting his money with yen, he was fined for parking in an unintended parking spot which is on the sidewalk. The man forgot that each country has different rules. Paying the fine for a hefty price, he got out with half of his current money. 

"Damn." He mutters.

He thought to himself that if he didn't get everything done and vanished to the point of abnormality, then he would stay here forever.

Right on time, he heard a gunshot near him. Knowing where the shot came from, he headed to the 3rd floor of a parking building using his bike. Upon arrival, he found a corpse with its face blown. He checks the surroundings and finds the abnormality itself, the anomaly point is found quickly. Hakatsu pulls out his Decadriver and transforms into Kamen Rider Decade before kicking it. The monster manifests a blade from their palm and sends projectile slashes onto him. The attack has successfully shattered several pillars finding the building. 

Decade stands in front of the corpse as he positions himself for a better attack angle. He looked back at the corpse and noticed the white twin-tail the corpse has. It felt rather... familiar. Odd to say the most.

He took out his blade from his Ridebooker and deflected multiple attacks from the anomaly before striking a fatal slice, causing the creature to be separated in two. Surprisingly, it immediately lost, deeming it as the weaker one. They are common when it comes to these anomaly creatures who often terrorize time without any sort of goal. It's up to him to find their real goal on finding their true goal. 

Hakatsu deactivates his armor and heads to the corpse for further investigation. Using his Ridebooker, he scanned the corpse will all the details. Before he could do his investigation on the area, the authorities, aka the police, arrived thanks to their civilian's reports. Not wanting to be falsely accused and lose his ability to prevent abnormalities, he took the corpse in his arms and used his invisible card.

Disappearing into the night, he reappears inside an empty warehouse. As the cloak wears off, his clothes are covered with fresh blood. It's not the first time he ever carried a corpse before but it's very urgent that he didn't bother with stopping the blood from leaking.

Using his newfound power before his first Herrscher encounter, he made an operation table. Hakatsu puts the corpse on the table and does a further scan of it. Using the blood as a sample, he analyzes the DNA within it. However, there's one thing that he lacks in his analysis.

"Oh right, I'm not an official detective of this era."

He does not have the data for anything that regards DNA and such.

Hakatsu created a chair and sat down, resting for a while since he hit a dead end. The man closes his eyes and wonders, why does she feel familiar? 

After the full-scale detailed scan has finished, he opens a panel and analyzes the cause of the death. At first, he thought the creature stabbed her through her head. However, it comes as false. It is rather a bullet wound, focused blast would be what he concluded.

If it wasn't the anomaly that caused her death, could it be just a murder during this era? Even so, why does she look very familiar to him?

Suddenly, a heavy headache strikes his brain, reliving the moment of his past self.

In his memory, the same-looking corpse was his target for destruction. That person herself is one hundred times the size of the Earth, and the scorching flame is covering everywhere within the Earth and other planets. Past Decade performs an ultimate blow in the form of a meteoric kick, which leads to a supernova.

Hakatsu fell off his chair onto the ground, shaking in fear and shock. A sudden piece of memory has returned to his mind, leading to such a breakdown.

The destroyer is slowly recovering his memory by moments and time, who was he in the past?
