Chapter 9: Visitor to City

As the light of the day begins to enter the abandoned warehouse, Hakatsu is sleeping in a sleeping bag made using his borrowed Herrscher power. It's been 2 days since he has arrived on a new timeline, and he has yet to find the host of the Herrscher. He thought to himself, is It impossible to find in this day and age, or was he, isn't he lucky, unli,ke before? Hakatsu takes a look at the corpse again, looking for a connection to this era. Without the data required, he needs to somehow gain them. 

Creating a device, he hides the corpse and all of his belongings within an invisible dome. Thus, he rides his bike into the city to look for a place to find the required information. It's none other than... Where is he supposed to find all those supposed information?

Most importantly, who's the Herrscher of Thunder?

As he rides through the busy road, he finds a bunch of what seems to be carnival banners, along with balloons and such, floating away into the bright blue sky. Hakatsu stops by at a parking lot and parks his bike. He made sure to install a fake vehicle registration panel to avoid anyone getting suspicious of his bike. Hakatsu walks into the crowd and wanders within the carnival. It seems he arrived on the day before a carnival takes place in the city. He walked past many booths of games until one caught his attention. A blue-haired woman whom he met before is waiting behind a line. Wondering why she's here, he takes a look at a board above the booth that reads "Sing Evolt."

As the woman finally takes her chance, she gets on the stage in front of a crowd and takes the mic for her.

"Hiiii everyone! Name's Kira Shigure, an upcoming debuting idol!" Greets Shigure Kira.

Why do I have a bad feeling for this?

As she starts to sing, her voice tone, pitch, and flow don't go along with each other. Although the song used to have lyrics displayed on a monitor above the entrance of the booth along with the guide to perfect singing, she didn't follow it well. It results in everyone and the owner leaving the booth.

Kira was shocked by everyone avoiding her performance; she felt disappointed and discouraged because of it, to the point of her dropping to her knees. After watching everyone leave, Kira sees a familiar watching who's standing behind a pillar.

"General?" She said as she stared at him.

"Thank you for watching and listening to my performance, General!" She shouts excitedly knowing someone is still there to support her.

Hakatsu remains in the same position and expression.

"General? Why are you just staring?" She asked, starting to get concerned by his presence.

Creep and cold start to go through her spine as he keeps staring into her soul. The Quantum Agent Shigure Kira has never been creeped out by something before but now she does. She suddenly heard a weird noise coming from her right side. However, when she looks back at Hakatsu, he disappears. Cold sweats start to drip down from her skin; a fear appears within her. Confused about the sudden unknown situation.

She looked around once again and found no one was around. Until she heard a creek next to her. Kira immediately turned her left side and jumped out of the stage in a sudden motion while screaming in fear.

"No fear and No pain, I thought you don't have that." Said the only destroyer, Hakatsu.

Shigure Kira's emotion turns from anxiety to anger from seeing him.

"You bas- Trollmaster General! How could you scare an idol like that?!" She shouts at him while trying to not insult her general.

Despite such an anxiety-inducing moment, Kira managed to calm down before both of them left the booth.

After buying drinks for themselves, they sit on a nearby bench facing away from the carnival and onto a park. It is a beautiful sunny day for a happy event. Hakatsu slurps up a blueberry smoothie while Kira enjoys her cherry milk tea. "So tell me, Kira. Why are you here?" Hakatsu asked. Kira looks at her general in the eyes before answering. "General ordered me to keep you on track and help with whatever you need on the way." She replied.

Hakatsu seems suspicious upon hearing her explanation; it's so uncharacteristic for his past to give orders such as that. He slurps up his drink again with the thought of his unknown past.

"If I did so, does that mean having you attack me before is also a part of my past self's command?" He asked once again. Shigure Kira throws her empty cup onto a nearby trash can before telling him her answer. "Well, you did but I was skeptical on that part." Kira leans her back onto the bench. "But to make sure General gets back to his prime, I'll do whatever it takes as you commanded." Kira looks into my eyes while answering my question.

Hakatsu and Kira stand up from the bench before parting ways. However, an explosion was heard at the festival. They both look at each other, understanding where to go. As they arrive at the location, they see a black-haired man protecting a woman. An abnormality is charging its arm cannon upon the couple, seeming to target the woman instead.

"Mei! Run away as far as you can!" Said the man who was holding some sort of a firearm in his right hand.

"But you would die fighting it!" Said 'Mei' trying to pull him to run away with her.

Seeing this, Hakatsu pulls out his Decadriver and puts it on his waist. However, another abnormality appears upon them. They were shot by blasters, which sent them to a separate booth. There were two more abnormalities. Each of the two is armed by blasters on the right and left arm respectively. As they approach each of the booths occupied by Hakatsu and Kira respectively, they prepare their shots to immediately eliminate both of them.

As the man and the woman were about to be shot by the abnormality, the man inserted a card into his firearm and activated it. The abnormality immediately fires the shot at both of them. An explosion occurs between them, creating a dust cloud around them. A blue holographic barrier is placed between the couple and the abnormality. As the dust goes away, a blue and black armored man appears in front of the woman. His chest armor consists of barcode-like chest pieces and shoulder pads, along with yellow accents on his arm armors and knee pads.

"Mei-san, I'll never let you get hurt." Said Kamen Rider Diend Forever.
