The final semester

Days passed quickly, bringing me to the end of my semester break

Days passed quickly, bringing me to the end of my semester break. It was finally the last semester; after it, I'd successfully become a Chemical Engineering graduate. So many things took place last semester and I'm now married. Attending university as a married woman didn't make much of a difference.

I hope things run smoothly this semester, and I'm trying not to fall into the 'All is well that ends well' trap. I refused to believe it, the journey is as important as the destination.

"What's the next hour?"

"Our electives, Ruby," Maxwell sighed, "There are only three subjects, but you still can't remember the schedule."

Ruby looked at him in disbelief, "Why're you being so angsty today?"

"I'm not being angsty, I'm only telling you."

"Oh, yeah?" Ruby retorted, "What kind of a boyfriend chastises and nags at his girlfriend all day long?"

Anne glanced over to me with a blank look and I sighed, tiredly. I started feeling a sharp pain rising in my head.

With every semester, my hatred for their relationship kept growing. I had lost hope in any relationships thanks to these two, but I'm starting to believe because of him. He's all I can think about when I'm away from home.

"You're a crazy. . ." Maxwell trailed off, slamming his phone on the table.

Woah.

"Oh," Ruby stood up, "Crazy bitch, right? Let me complete it for you!"

Maxwell shot her a glare, "Girl."

I gulped at the various emotions playing on Ruby's face. She was turning red, literally. I only hoped I didn't see such days with my husband.

She let out an exasperated sigh, "I'm so done with you."

"Like I am fully into you."

Ruby tossed her bag over her shoulders and stormed off the place, muttering inaudible words to herself. The action got Maxwell, scoffing and shaking his head in disapproval.

I sank in my chair, helplessly.

"Max," I closed my eyes, "Go."

Silence.

"Max, you heard me."

Once again, my ears were struck by a loud sound and my eyes flew open to see his bag on the desk.

The blonde-haired man was seen walking with staggering steps out of the class to fetch his so-called girlfriend.

"Melina, what's wrong with those two?"
