Tam
It was all quite overwhelming to experience all at once. The moment Tam and Keefe entered the ballroom, the sound of music and chatting prodigies had filled their ears, colored lights blurring through their vision. A dance floor, stage, disco ball, an entire table filled to the absolute BRIM with Elvin food... clearly this place had been spruced up since Tam had last visited with Keefe.

Next to the entrance, there was an area where people could get their photos taken with their dates and friends, Dex behind the camera. Unsurprisingly, Fitz was hanging around there as well. The two were adorned in varying blue suits, each impeccably appropriate for the occasion.

Keefe gasped in delight when he saw, immediately grabbing onto Tam and carelessly dragging him over, one foot uselessly stumbling over the other. "Look! Tammy! How about we take our first ever couple photo together? For memories!"

"You have a snack table, stage, dance floor, and other friends wandering around and yet the first thing you wanna do is take a photo? For memories?" Tam laughed as he regained his balance, struggling to keep up with Keefe's eager demeanour. He's here now, so the most he can do is enjoy everything. "Who are you and what the fuck did you do with my boyfriend?"

"Tammy... let loose! Of course I wanna take photos with you... we can go to the snack table after..." Keefe grinned, murmuring the latter. He seemed to have finally noticed that his dark haired boyfriend was having trouble keeping up, and slowed his pace.

"Hey, Keefe. Tam," Fitz greeted with a flashy smile as he stood next to Dex, who every few seconds would take a photo of some giddy teenagers in a split second of bright, white light. "Woah. That really is quite the ego boost..."

Fitz trailed off, eyes travelling over Keefe's very unique outfit. The blonde boy smirked proudly, running a hand through his hair ( that he probably spent the entire afternoon doing, in Tam's opinion ) as Tam rolled his eyes. "Gold is a winning color, Vacker. I'll see you in second place later tonight."

"We'll see about that," Fitz retorted playfully, before Keefe and Tam were ushered into the photo area by a busy Dex.

"Move it! Im only doing this for the first hour, and heaps of people are waiting. Smile!"

Tam attempted to look kind of like he was having a good time, although he was sure Keefe—who had slung an arm around his shoulder and was profoundly displaying two thumbs—didn't need to pretend. Just as the camera flashed, a sudden voice yelled over the crowd, and Tam whipped his head around to see who it was.

"Hey—! Did someone slip alcohol in the lushberry juice?"

Time slowed for the next few seconds. The music abruptly ended, as whom Tam recognised to be Jensi—a boy in his year—stumbled drunkenly through a crowd of prodigies on the dance floor.

Oh, this never ends well.

Reaching blindly out for whoever could stable him, Tam witnessed as Jensi reached out for a blonde prodigy wearing a stunning crimson red gown; Miss Sophie Foster.

Sophie cried out in shock as Jensi's weight sent her tumbling to the floor, the cup full of lushberry juice in her hand flung dangerously out into the open air. The cup's contents, deep in color that would surely stain against anything, splattered all over Biana Vacker's delicate lilac dress.

A high pitched screech echoed throughout the room, as Biana stomped her heel against the ground in rage. "That was my dress, you bastard!" Her hand jolted forward, giving Jensi a hard slap on his cheek as he was slumped and disoriented on the ground. The entire room seemed to gasp, even Tam himself. That would surely leave a mark.

"Yeah! And that was my drink!" Sophie exclaimed, although hesitating a little before giving Jensi a light kick in the stomach with the point of her heel once she had gotten up and dusted herself off.

"Oh, Mallowmelt," Keefe whispered as they he and Tam stared in disbelief.

Tam sighed, pursing his lips as he gazed up at his boyfriend. "Why do I think we should go over there before they both beat him up together?"

"Mmm," Keefe hummed, immediately making his way forward and through the watchful crowd, Tam following hot on his heels. The two girls were both looming over poor defenceless Jensi now, justified yet deadly. "Sounds like a good idea."

The music had started up again as background noise when they had finally pushed their way through the crowd to enter the scene, only a few lingering prodigies still curiously observing.

"Okay, so, no murdering people or prom will be over and ya boy won't get prom king," The blonde boy told them, hands on his hips as he looked down at drunk Jensi. Tam wondered idly what they should do with him, seeing as he was clearly in no state to walk. Was Elwin around here somewhere?

"But he—" Sophie and Biana protested in unison, dramatically gesturing to him on the ground.

"You should probably stay far away from the lushberry juice anyway, Sophie." Tam replied cooly, arms crossed over his chest while he scanned the crowd for a certain doctor. "Everyone should, seeing what just happened. So don't worry about your drink."

"Yeahhhhh. And Bi, don't mind about your dress, it was going to get ruined anyway," Keefe mentioned through an alarming attempt to stifle some sudden laughter.

"Huh?? Keefe, honestly, what are you talking about?"

"Oh, nothing," Keefe grinned, giving Tam a mischievous glance that the dark haired boy would be sure to question later; after they had dealt with the drunk laying on the dance floor. "Okay... does anyone know where to find an Elwin around here?"
