Three months passed by in the blink of an eye. The first few weeks, you take days off every other day, claiming that you're not feeling well, but in actual fact, you spent the days off crying in bed. You questioned your own self worth, you don't hang out with your friends and when you're actually at work, you don't leave your office in case you bump into Jihyo somewhere in the company.

Jihyo had texted you a few days after the breakup to ask if you were okay, but you don't reply her. You wanted to move on, and talking to Jihyo will only make you feel worse.

When you don't respond to Jihyo, the girls text you everyday to check in on you. You know it's obviously Jihyo who told them to do that, but you know that the girls are genuine too.

After a whole month of self pity and questioning your self worth, you told yourself you'd move on with your life.

You go to the bar to pick up women, men, or sometimes just to drink. Eventually, you got tired of sleeping around with strangers and washing down one night stands with scotch, so you decided that you're ready for a new relationship.

So when a woman you recognised to be the A&R manager in JYP, asked you out on a date, you accepted it and honestly, you had a good time hanging out with her. She does know how to wine and dine a woman.

"Hey, isn't that Jihyo-nim? It's so rare to see idols having meals in the cafeteria these days." Juhyun, the A&R Manager that you've been on dates with, looked over your shoulder.

You turned around to find Jihyo walking towards your direction. You turned back and nodded, smiling at Juhyun.

You've moved on, sure, but seeing Jihyo still made your heart skipped a beat. Especially since the cafeteria is the place you and Jihyo first met.

You were a newly hired lawyer for JYP Entertainment and TWICE were filming contents for their YouTube channel. You ran into Jihyo while she was chasing Jeongyeon with mini water guns in her hands. She accidentally sprayed you with the water gun and apologised profusely for ruining your expensive blazer.

She said a "I owe you one but right now I have more pressing matters." To you, before continuing chasing after Jeongyeon.

You couldn't stop smiling even after Jihyo was long out of sight. You decided you might have a crush on the nation girl group's leader. A love at first sight, if you will.

But your fairytale story ended when Jihyo got tired of you.

"[Y/N]? Earth to [Y/N]!" You snapped out of your thoughts when Juhyun raised her voice.

"Hmm?"

"I was saying it looked like Jihyo-nim was walking to our table, but she changed direction in the last second." Juhyun looked around for Jihyo who was queuing up for coffee. "Hey, do you know Jihyo-nim personally?"

You scoffed, "what? No, why would I know her personally and how would I know her personally? Don't be silly now, Juhyun unnie."

Juhyun gave you a look, but quickly forgot about it as she asked where you would like to go for dinner tomorrow night.

Jihyo sat on the floor of the balcony and stared at the moon.

"You moved on. Juhyun-nim from A&R made a move. Honestly? Good for you. Juhyun-nim looks like she can take good care of you and make you happy." Jihyo mumbled to herself.

"But you do know that you're the only one who can make [Y/N] happy, right?"

Jihyo looked to her right. Jeongyeon has taken a seat next to her. "Did I ask for your opinion?" Jihyo rolled her eyes.

"No, but I'm nosey so I'm going to give you my opinions anyway." Jeongyeon rolled her eyes back. "Seriously, if you love [Y/N] so much, why did you hurt her?"

"Because I can't make her happy! I can't give her the perfect relationship she deserves!"

"And you're regretting it now for literally sending her into another woman's arms."

Jihyo sighed. She realised there's no point in arguing with her best friend. "Fine. I regret. And I fucking hate Juhyun-nim, okay? But what can I do? I literally pushed [Y/N] out of my life without giving her any reasons and treated her like trash."

"Just be a woman and apologise to her. Ask her for another chance, whatever, just don't hurt her again." Jeongyeon pat Jihyo on the shoulder.

You walked into your office with a cup of coffee and a warm croissant. As soon as you set your breakfast down, your assistant Yerim barged in.

"Hey, hey! Unnie, you're gonna be so thrilled! An idol is here to see you, something about asking for legal advice!"

"What idol?" You raised a brow. Yerim don't get excited over any idol. The only group she likes is TWICE, so you're pretty sure it's someone from said group, but you don't think too much of it, especially since you haven't had any coffee yet.

"It's the Park Jihyo!"

You froze at the mention of that name. Yerim didn't give you any time to ask any questions before she let Jihyo in.

You watched as your ex-girlfriend closed the door behind her and shut the blinds.

"What do you want, Jihyo-nim?"

"You're not returning my texts or calls." Jihyo couldn't pretend that the formality didn't hurt.

"Oh, that sounds familiar, doesn't it? Get out of my office." You took a seat, an awkward Jihyo standing in the middle of your office.

"I really just want to talk to you."

Jihyo tried again when you didn't look up from the pile of paperwork that you have in front of you. "[Y/N], please."

"Fine. Say whatever you want then leave."

"I'm sorry for treating you like trash and for throwing our relationship away. It wasn't easy for me, [Y/N], I was scared that I can't give you the happiness you deserve. I can't show you off to the world like you deserve and I want you to have someone who will treat you like the precious gem that you are. But I want to be selfish and I want to be brave this time. I'll reveal our relationship to the public. I promise I won't make the same mistake again. [Y/N], please take me back..."

You looked up from your paperwork, "are you done here? If you are, please show yourself out. I would like to finish all these work before my date with Juhyun-nim tonight."

Jihyo felt her heart breaking into a million pieces. But she had to respect your choices. "I love you."

There were knocks on the door just as Jihyo was about to open her third can of beer. She got up to open the door and all she knew after that was her being pinned against the wall, warm lips against hers, hands roaming around her body.

She knew that pair of lips and those hands.

You gave Jihyo a kiss, and not just a kiss. It was a full on, opened-mouth, tongue filled kiss.

"Of course I take you back. I will always take you back, Park Jihyo." You whispered as you both pulled apart and took shaky breaths.

"What about Juhyun-nim?" Jihyo asked, cupping your cheeks.

"I went on that date tonight to tell her that me and her won't work out because someone else has my heart." You said, gently leaning your forehead against Jihyo's.

"I love you, [Y/N]. I won't let you go again."

"I love you too, Jihyo, but don't fucking do that to me again or I will make you regret it." You looked into Jihyo's eyes, and then let out a smile.

Jihyo knew what that smile meant. She scooped you up in her arms and carried you to the bedroom that you missed so much.
