part 1: operation proposal

It all started because of an innocent question that Tzuyu asked one day, when you and her were left alone in the practice room.

There was a comfortable silence between you and her, and she asked you a question out of nowhere, "unnie, when are you planning to propose to Jihyo unnie?"

You almost choked on your own saliva, and Tzuyu only smiled at you.

"I... have thoughts about it."

"Okay, I was just curious." Tzuyu nodded and the two of you continued to daydream in the big and quiet practice room.

The next thing you know, you were being added into a group chat.

Turned out, Tzuyu didn't ask an innocent question. She was on a mission to fish information out of you. After confirming that you did have thoughts about proposing to their leader, she told the girls right away.

Apparently, they saw you looking at wedding rings at the backstage of a music show.

After the group chat was created, the girls have been pestering you with their grand, dramatic, over the top ideas.

Momo suggested during an encore at the final concert.

Tzuyu suggested that you rent out an aquarium and have dolphins bring the ring.

Sana suggested a live band, with you serenading Jihyo.

Nayeon suggested a flash mob.

Dahyun suggested a cameo for their next music video.

Mina suggested a hot air balloon proposal.

Chaeyoung suggested an underwater proposal, where she wants to hire synchronised swimmers to perform a heart-shaped formation.

Jeongyeon suggested a drone light show.

[Y. Jeongyeon] Come on, [Y/N]! We gave you so many great ideas! Personally, I think mine is the best. You only need, what, 80 drones?

[Y/N] Jeong, I'm not buying 80 drones!

[I. Nayeon] You can afford it, [Y/N]! If drones are too expensive, may I offer to arrange a flash mob? My fees are much cheaper ;)

[S. Chaeyoung] You need a grand proposal! Something that Jihyo unnie will remember for LIFE

[Y/N] Girls, please. I have anxiety from calling a restaurant to book a table. I'm a simple person, so I'd like to keep my proposal simple too.

The group chat went quiet after that. But you know the girls are planning something else.

They also know that you come from money, but if you're going to propose to the love of your life, you'd like to do it with your own money.

That means no underwater aquarium or hot air balloon or... drones.

[Y/N] Operation Proposal does not exist.
