Max got their cast off and dropped their crutch a few weeks later, they were still warily about how William and Carlos didn't tell them about what was going on with Corvus but slowly they were healing.

Ms. Constellation and Max had actually grown closer during those weeks. She had begun acting like a caretaker or mother-figure for Max which they were grateful for, yet they still profusely apologized for call the Luna, 'mother'.

She laughed it off and said it was alright.

Her and Miss Sissy Iris took advantage of Max's inability to physically fight for themselves and did all sorts of things they would never even think about and if they did, they would wrinkle their nose and snarl at the thought.

For a few days, the two had applied handfuls of cosmetics and caked Max's face in it. The werewolves always ran away and laughed at them after, but Corvus would always ask if they could do his makeup next and match it with Max's, then then the other werewolves would sigh and kick their feet before asking for some themselves.

The three drove two towns over on multiple occasions where the civilisation couldn't recognize them and they brought Max a whole bunch more clothes before wrestling their skinny form into it, saying that "just because they were batted and broken, doesn't mean you can't look good".

Max was relieved when they got the bulk of their arm and they could run away at the first chance of the two, ditching their crutch to find a new hiding spot.

Throughout the many weeks however, one thing stayed the same.

Corvus never left Max's side, they were attached at the hip, werewolf always offering to fetch or grab something for Max. He let the mage lean on them when the day had taken a toll on them, and crutch began to poke into their very bones.

"And then I was able to stick the whole thing into my mouth." William said proudly.

"That's disgusting." Carlos said shuddering, grabbing his feet as he sat on the ground, back against the couch.

"Nah." Max said. "That's bloody cool-like do you know how big those things are?" They smiled.

The tv spat out some generic code for the DVD just placed in it, 'Mean Girls' was playing, an all-time classic comedy.

Max liked the animals in the flashbacks, always a fan of a big cat, no matter how loud the werewolves growled at it from their ear. Carlos only liked the end when Regina was hit by the bus, he didn't even know she was the antagonist. He only came to watch it when he knew that part was near, always popping out from the shadows to let out a bellowing laugh at the scene.

William said he wanted to bang all of them, both male and female characters, Max sometimes agreed with him when they all needed a laugh or a loud sound late at night when they were the only ones in the awake.

He knocked on the door before opening it, Max immediately looked over. Who would be knocking on doors in their own house? Unless it was to a bedroom which the room definitely wasn't.

Corvus shuffled into the room which made Max shoot up. "Corvus." They said immediately. "Is something wrong?" They asked as they walked over.

The werewolves coughed and looked over. "What you got there?" Carlos asked at the scent.

"It's not for you so don't get your hopes up." Corvus said and the wolves deflated.

"Fine." William grumbled as he turned on his side. "Didn't want the good smelling food anyway-rather watch Mean Girls." Max heard him faintly say.

Max tilted their head and return their focus to Corvus. "Corvus?" They asked.

"I-I." Corvus stuttered, it didn't look like he was going to get a word out anytime soon which made Max even more nervous, what is something was wrong, what if he was caught by a hunter and they had tortured him by cutting his tongue off-!
