In times of need, we all need somebody to lean on. It may be a friend, a parent or sometimes a complete stranger. But for Payten, it just so happens to be her best friend, aka her old crush.

Payten
When Payten went for her 20 week ultrasound, the OB told her that she should start feeling the baby kick. She looked at Adam with a huge smile, and he returned it.
Adam dropped her off at home and left to go run errands again, so Payten decided to clean the house up as best as she could before the baby's gender reveal party tomorrow.
They had the Dr write it down and they gave it to Mariella and Juliet who took it to the bakery to get it made. They were the only two who knew, Payten wanting to have a genuine reaction to whatever colour came out with the cake.
With her belly growing more and more, she found it getting harder to do some of the things she did on a regular basis. She made a list of things she wanted done, then separated it into things she could do alone and things she'd need help doing.
She vacuumed the floors, then quickly mopped them. She placed the dishes in the dishwasher and started it, putting the dry dishes away into their respective cupboards.
By this time, Adam had come back and needed help carrying in bags. He had gotten a list for snacks and things for the party, and did not disappoint with finding it all.
They set it out on the island, organizing it into pantry stuff, fridge stuff and what could stay out overnight. They had fun, joking around and listening to music as they organized, and Payten felt butterflies again.
"Okay so guest are supposed to arrive at 2pm tomorrow, meaning we need to have everything set up in the backyard by 1:30pm at the latest. The forecast says it's supposed to be sunny all day tomorrow which is good." Payten explained looking down at her list as she sat down at the dining table. She had her free hand on her stomach, rubbing slightly.
"Okay, so what all do you need me to do?" Adam asked, walking light of the pantry and closing the door. "I can't get mostly everything built and set up tonight if it's not supposed to rain."
"Yeah I have a list of things I need you to do for me and it's not calling for rain so let's hope it doesn't." Payten chuckles and Adam smiles, grabbing two glasses and filling them with water, then going to sit down beside Payten at the table. He places one glass in front of her, to which she smiles and grabs, taking a sip.
