Administrative Offices of Uso Penitentiary

Warden Heyman's POV

This job is more stressful than I could have ever imagined. Between running the uso penitentiary, maintaining the security and civilian staff and keeping the Anoa'i-Fatu families happy, it's truly a headache. Now don't get me wrong, the financial rewards that I receive are incredible, and the money I have received from both the state and the Anoa'i-Fatu families have technically set me up for life and I can retire whenever I want. But it has also driven me to drink more than I should. It's like I never get a break, I'm on call 24/7 365, not just from the higher ups but from Joe. Every time there is controversy in the unit, I'm the first one called. It's always left up to the "wiseman" to take care of the situation.

Now, I have a situation with one of my officers on D unit. Officer Rhodes has been on the unit for only a short time, and he's already making enemies not just with the inmates but officers as well. He thinks just because I knew his dad and before his dad passed away I promised that I would take him under my wing, so to speak, he can overstep boundaries. However, he acts too much like a know it all and personally, I don't like it one bit. What I've learned over the years is that one should pick his battles carefully.

Not only that having the women in such close proximity to the men is proving to be more trouble than it's worth. Now don't get me wrong, I am thankful to Dr. Shareef for helping me launch this program off of the ground, if it weren't for her lobbying to state and local government, it would've never happened. At the same time, I never expected Joe and the Fatu twins to fall so hard for these young ladies. Maybe I should not have put female inmates here that were so unbelievably attractive. But then again, they're women so would've really made a difference? Probably not.

As I sit here, I pull out a bottle of brandy and pour myself yet another shot. Now you're probably wondering if I'm an alcoholic? I say no, I can quit whenever I want, I don't have a problem, it just keeps me calm and relieves my stress.

At that moment, there is a knock at my door, it's Dr. Shareef and the look on her face worries me because she looks like she's seen a ghost....
