Joe and his cousins were irritated that their women wasn't with them. Moreover, the fact that they were on the yard dancing and every housing unit could see them, drove them crazy with jealous rage. They didn't want the entire penitentiary to see their property. Because if word got back to them that guys on other units were trying to shoot their shot, there would be green lights handed out like Halloween candy. Just because their women weren't on the same housing unit as them didn't mean anything.
