The Housing Unit had been relatively quiet since the incident with Deanna and Officer Rhodes. Usually, the inmates would either be on the phone, watching television or playing cards. However, lately the unit had been eerily quiet. Trinity and Jessica, for the most part, stayed in their cells with their cellmates. The Judgment Day, who was usually loud, were also quiet and aloof. Joe was also very quiet, as all he did was workout in his cell and sleep. Josh and Jon were very concerned because they had never known their cousin to be so withdrawn and quiet....
"Aye you talked to Big Uce?" Jon asked his twin.
"Nah, he been staying in his cell. Ever since Dee went to the hospital, all he do is do push ups and sleep. He don't even come out for late night snack or yard." Josh replied.
"Man, he really taking what happened to Dee pretty hard. I don't know if I was hearing shit, but I thought I heard him sniffing when I walked past his cell." Jon said sadly.
"Well you know he really and truly love that girl." Josh said shaking his head.
"Right? I've never seen him act like that over no woman, especially when we was in the streets." Jon said.
"Me either. That's how I know he's truly in love." Josh replied.
"Well I think we need to go and holla at him, make sure he good. Give him some encouragement and shit." Jon replied.
"Yeet." Josh responded back.
When the twins went to Joe's cell door, they were sad as they saw the sight before them. Joe was sitting on his bunk, clutching Dee's favorite pillow with tears streaming from his eyes. They lightly tapped on his door, startling him as he quickly wiped his face and put a stern look on his face hiding the fact that he was crying.
"Aye Uce? You aight fam?" Josh asked, worry etched on his face.
"Yeah I'm aight, why wouldn't I be?" Joe asked frowning.
"We was worried. You ain't been out to yard or get late night snack. You just been staying in yo' cell a lot and that ain't like you." Jon explained.
"You miss Deanna don't ya?" Josh asked softly.
"Yeah I do. I miss my baby so much. I never thought I could or would miss anyone so much. I miss her so much it hurts. I can't eat or sleep and she's all I think about." Joe sighed.

"We know you miss her Uce. But don't worry she'll be back and she'll be ok and you'll be back to be your old clingy and possessive self in no time." Jon said in a joking manner to cheer his cousin up.
"Trust I understand. I'd feel the same way if my baby boo was away from me. I couldn't be able to function if Jessica wasn't around me. Shit I'd probably bug up and end up in solitary." Josh said, shaking his head.
