When Zaire awoke, he felt a slight sting in his arm. A hiss left his ruby lips as he sat up. The omega rubbed his eyes with a tired whimper. Zaire opened his eyes properly and saw that he was in a spacious and dark bedroom. He saw tall and dark walls filled with paintings. A gorgeous chandelier hovered above him. The bed under Zaire was huge, so soft that it felt as if the omega was lying on a cloud. This room was filled with expensive items and it seemed cold.
'Where am I?'
Just as he thought that, the door facing the bed opened. Zaire saw Woo walk inside while chugging a bottle of water. Sweat dripped down the alpha's abs from his wet hair. Woo was only dressed in black sweatpants, looking as if he had just finished a workout.
"You're up." The older man's deep voice was oddly calm, not matching the fire in his sharp eyes.
"Wo-" The younger man started but was cut off by Woo's deep voice.
"All the symptoms I've heard you tell the doctor, why wasn't I informed of them when they started?" The alpha asked while standing in front of Zaire.
"W-Woo-"
"Why didn't you tell me, omega?" The alpha repeated.
"I-I.." Zaire looked down at his lap. The omega stared at his hands, not knowing how to answer the older man. Zaire couldn't understand why the alpha would want to know how he was. Why did it matter to Woo if the younger man was well or not?
Woo observed the omega in his bed. He gave the younger man time to speak but no words came out. Zaire stared at his hands, but his head was elsewhere. Woo could tell by how lifeless his eyes seemed. This irritated the older man. Why was Zaire always lost in his head?
"Is it suffocating to live here?"
The alpha's voice broke the smaller man out of his thoughts. Suddenly, the taller man came forward. Woo wrapped his arms under Zaire's knees and waist, lifting him with ease. The omega gasped and wrapped his arms around the angry man's neck, afraid to fall. "If it is, then come on, I can drop you off to your kind parents."
"W-Wait.." Zaire felt tears well up in his brown eyes as the alpha began to walk out of the room.
Woo took slow steps as he walked past the guest room Zaire was staying in. The omega in his arms panicked and his breathing quickened at the thought of his parents. Was he ready to leave? His mind replayed the abuse his father and mother had inflicted on him. There was no way the wolf was ready for wounds and violation. God knows what would happen to him. He grabbed the side of the alpha's jaw and tried to get his attention. The taller man paid him no mind, anger blocking any touch he felt.
They went through the hallway and when the alpha was a few steps away from the stairs. The omega hid his face in the alpha's bare chest and began to sob. Fear beat the control he had kept on his tears. "W-Woo..no.."
"They must be looking for you everywhere. Let me take that stress away from them." The wolf stopped in his steps as the omega's arm tightened around his neck. Zaire's whole body shook from fear and sobs.
"No!" The omega pleaded through his sobs. He felt the wolf turn and start walking again. Zaire closed his eyes as tears fell down his cheeks and onto Woo's skin. "Stop it..please.."
Woo remained silent as he walked back to his bedroom. He sat down on the side of the bed with the smaller wolf in his lap. Zaire kept his eyes closed as he hiccupped and sobbed. He felt humiliated as he cried. Woo reached out and grabbed the gorgeous omega's chin. "Open your eyes and look at me."
Zaire wanted to disobey, but he knew it would only get him in more trouble. The omega opened his eyes and found them back in the same bedroom. Violent sobs wrecked his chest as Woo stared at him. Onyx-colored eyes stared at his trembling lips and pearl tears dropped from brown eyes. Even as he cried, Zaire looked gorgeous.
