'He shivers at the sight of people, there's no way he left by himself.'

Woo suddenly remembered the hidden room in his house. The alpha walked towards the library and the moment he entered, he was hit by the scent of fear. Woo pulled the red book at the corner and felt the shelf rotate. The man looked inside and saw Zaire. The omega was sitting next to the bed, back against the wall. He had his face hidden in his knees as quiet sobs left his trembling body.

"Omega.." Woo called out and Zaire looked up with a gasp.

The omega was looking at him but it felt as if he couldn't see him. "W-Woo?"

"What are you doing here?"

"I-I...had a bad dream..and I woke up, and i-it was dark, and y-you weren't there..."

The smaller man tried to speak through his sobs but couldn't finish. Without a word, the alpha walked forward and gathered Zaire into his arms bridal style. The omega's tears-streaked face had defeat written over it as he laid his head on Woo's chest, his scent soaked in despair. The alpha walked out of the hidden room and took him back to his bedroom.

Woo laid the wolf in his bed and climbed in after him. He was a bit shocked when he felt Zaire move closer to him. The omega laid against the man's toned chest as his hand went to grip his upper abdomen. The bitter scent of fear still hadn't left him and that made Woo aware that Zaire was still stuck in whatever fear his head had created this time.

"Next time, call and ask me where I am. Can you do that, omega?" Woo asked and Zaire nodded while listening to the wolf's steady heartbeat.

The alpha sighed and wrapped an arm around the smaller man's waist. Woo pulled him close, grip secure and protective. "Sleep."

The alpha closed his eyes for a few minutes and felt the omega still twitching. His sobs had decreased into hiccups but the omega wasn't asleep. Woo felt annoyed but he didn't want to yell at the younger man. Woo opened his eyes and looked down at the beauty in his arms. Zaire stared at every dark corner of the room anxiously while gripping Woo's skin tighter.

The alpha held Zaire's hand that was on his chest and that caught the smaller wolf's attention. Woo intertwined their hands together and laid them on his chest, right near his heart. "Stop being anxious."

"I-I'm sorry." Woo squeezed the tiny hand in his grip and hugged the man closer.

"Go to sleep, omega." The alpha said and it went quiet again.

Woo pretended to fall asleep for a few minutes and felt his jaw tighten as Zaire tried to leave his arms. He opened his eyes and turned to face the younger man. Fresh tears fell down his face as his breathing quickened. The older man sat up and leaned back against the headboard. He pulled the scared omega onto his lap and wrapped an arm around his waist.

"What did you dream of?" The alpha asked and his voice went deeper when he didn't get a response immediately. "Spit it out."

Zaire looked up as onyx-colored eyes locked onto his. Woo pulled him closer and forced Zaire's arms to wrap around his broad shoulders. The alpha sighed while keeping the smaller man close to his chest. Zaire hid his face in the man's chest, trying to fix his breathing. He tried to copy the rise and fall of Woo's broad chest.

"My...my p-parents..." Zaire gasped out.

Woo kept his irritation hidden as he held the omega close. The wolf couldn't understand why Zaire was so afraid. "Omeg-"

"They took me f-from here and then they...gave me a-away to this alpha." Hot tears fell down the omega's eyes as he trembled. "He w-was so scary..."

"Stop thin-"
