Chapter 13

Sana's POV

We were in such close proximity that our lips brushed softly, like butterfly wings. I suddenly felt the urge to connect them, to close the gap-

"Sana? Sana!"

I snapped out of my thoughts. After the meeting with Tzuyu on the rooftop, it seemed to be the only thing on my mind. I can't stop thinking what would have happened if we hadn't been interrupted. I can't stop thinking what would have happened if I had closed the gap-

"You alive girl!?" Mina slapped the back of my head.

"Ouch!" I exclaimed, rubbing it and looking at Mina in disbelief. I was at her house since I wanted some help with one of my subjects.

"Are you daydreaming? I've explained this to you at least four times and you keep saying you don't understand!"

I chuckled. Maybe I should tell Mina what happened between me and Tzuyu. It won't hurt right?

"Okay, I'm daydreaming." I confessed and put my book down. Mina shifted from next to me, to across me and lay down on her stomach, flipping her feet excitedly.

"What about?" she asked, a smile plastered on her face.

"Okay, earlier... Remember I went to meet Tzuyu on the rooftop?"

"Yeah. Aw, and she gave you the jacket! That was so sweet by the way, I wish Chaeng did something like that for me-"

"I'm sure Chaeyoung has done many other things for you." I interrupted, trying to hide my blushing cheeks. The gesture from Tzuyu was indeed very sweet, considering how she added the squirrel at the back and my birthday. I wondered what her number meant. 25.

"Okay so? You already told me that." Mina questioned.

"There's more that I didn't tell you." I muttered.

"Then tell me!" Mina shouted excitedly. I sighed and tried to hide a smile before answering.

"Tzuyu and I almost kissed."

"YOU WHAT!?" Mina exclaimed.

"Shh, I don't want your whole family to find out." I blushed. Mina squealed happily.

"Oh my god! And then? Why didn't you kiss?"

"Someone called me. Anonymously." I replied, trying to hide the fact that I was slightly worried about that call. Mina furrowed her eyebrows.

"Really? Could you tell if it was someone you know?"

"No. But I bet it's just a prank." I shrugged. Mina however looked as worried as Tzuyu did in the morning and I have no idea why. People do anonymous pranks all the time.

"Okay. It's getting late, do you want to stay here for the night?" Mina asked me as she got up and started arranging her books at the shelves in her room. I put my books in my bag and got up as well.

"No, I'll just walk-"

"You can't walk now, it's late!"

"But I don't have any clothes-"

"You can borrow some of mine, I bet we wear the same size anyway." Mina insisted. I looked outside the window and saw it was indeed kind of dark.

"Okay, I'll stay. Thanks. Let me just call my dad." I dropped the bag and headed outside to the garden and dialed my dad's number.

-"Honey? Where are you? It's late."

-"I'll be staying over at a friend's dad, she told me it's better I not walk alone now."
