INT. CAMPUS IT SUPPORT – BACK OFFICE – DAY
Lin is alone. Digs out her laptop and places it next to a desktop computer already there.
On the desktop, she pulls up surveillance footage of the IT support department. Finds the time that Cathy last visited. After a bit of searching, Cathy's face appears on the screen.
Lin switches from CCTV footage of the workshop to the hallway, to the exterior entrance, to the parking lot. Following Cathy's movements step by step, camera by camera.
On the screen, Cathy walks to her car. A JEEP WRANGLER. And yeah, it's rigged like an expedition vehicle.
Lin zooms in and takes a good look at the REGISTRATION NUMBER. Scribbles it down.
Plugs a USB cable from her laptop into the desktop. Types something on her laptop.
The desktop goes black, and her laptop screen starts flashing with images of cars in parking lots. Yellow rectangles automatically mark the license plates on each car.
The flashing stops.
Lin looks at the screen. Checks with her notes. It's Cathy's car, parked outside one of the campus buildings.
She unplugs the USB, cleans up the computers, and leaves in a hurry.
