EXT. CAMPUS – FOOTBALL ARENA – LATER
Megan is sitting at the side of the field.
The others, both cheerleaders and football players, have resumed their practices.
One of the quarterbacks is standing over her:
QUARTERBACK: Babe, what you doing lying on top of that guy?
MEGAN: He saved me! I messed up my tumbling!
QUARTERBACK: Well, why didn't you just get up? Why hang around on his chest for so long?
MEGAN: I was unconscious!
QUARTERBACK: Oh... (beat) But I don't want you fooling around with that guy, you hear me?
Silent tears paint Megan's cheeks with mascara.
The quarterback turns and looks toward the cheerleading team.
A CHEERLEADING GIRL
sees the quarterback coming toward them.
CHEERLEADING GIRL: Oh, no...
Matt looks at her.
Then, the quarterback steps in front of him.
