Jacob's motorcycle came to a roaring stop in front of Emily and Sam's house. Bella immediately climbed off, only to turn to Jacob
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" She said softly "I'm a 'vampire girl', remember?"
The front door of the small, cottage like house suddenly slammed open. Jared, Paul, Embry, and Quil all came tumbling out the door at once, each carrying the last of their food as they hurried to finish their meal. Despite Bella's clear uncomfortable demeanor, they all smile as they rush to her.
Embry was the first to speak, after taking a large bite of the chicken leg in his hand "Look who's back"
"What up, Bella" Quil called with a grin
Bella smiled, though still slightly shocked "Quil, you too?"
"Yep" he replied with a grin "Finally made the pack. I'm glad you're here, Bella. Maybe we can get a break from Jake's obsessive inner monologue."
This seemed to catch the boys attention, as they all began to list off Jacobs thoughts
"I wish Bella would call"
"I wish Bella wouldn't call"
"Maybe I should call Bella"
"Maybe I should call Bella and hang up"
"Maybe I should call Delphie-" Jared was cut off immediately after saying her name
"Alright, you can shut up now" Jacob tells them with a dismissive smile, though there was a hint of a threat in his eyes.
Bella only grinned as she wdt hed the four, as they immediately brushed off his tone and continued to laugh and roughhouse, pushing each other playfully. It was when a branch broke behind them that Bella turned.
She faced a young woman, a few years older than herself. She had short, cropped black hair and a tall, athletic build. She was gorgeous, except for the icy cold glare she held on her face, which seemed to permanently reside there. When she spotted Bella, her lip curled slightly in disgust.
Jacob smiled and introduced her "Bella, this is Leah Clearwater. Harry's daughter"
"Hey. I'm really sorry about your father-" Bella began, but was cut off before she could finish
Leah only scowled at her, calling "If you're here to torture Jacob and his imprint some more, feel free to leave"
Bella seemed taken back, not only by her harsh tone, but what she said. She couldn't help but think to herself 'what the hell is an imprint?'
Jacob shot Leah and angry look, silently trying to scare her off. She doesn't move an inch, until she spots Sam and Emily leaving from the house. She's quick to let out a small growl, storming off.
"Fun, isn't she?" Jacob remarked sarcastically.
Emily rushed to Bella's side, grinning and giving her a hug. Sam smiled as he watched her, nodding a polite hello to Bella and Jacob
Emily pulled away slightly, though her smile remained "Bella... Hi. Hey. I was wondering when we'd see your face around here again"
"Yeah, same here" Bella replied awkwardly
Jacob watched the two with a slight smile, before turning away "Sam, we're good"
"We're good" he replied simply "She won't be getting through our line anytime soon"
Jared led the rest of the group away, all of them causing a ruckus and shouting, occasionally tumbling and play wrestling as they made their way into the woods. Sam turned to Emily, a small smile on his face as he leaned closer, kissing her gently.
