"I Need Help"

(Angel's POV)

I lay in bed unable to sleep...... All I can think of is Husk..... I hope he's okay..... I miss being able to hug him..... Kiss him..... Love him...... I miss-

I hear footsteps by my door. I get up and listen through my door. I hear someone pacing back and forth. I hear murmurs of a low voice...... Husk? The pacing pauses then I hear him murmuring to himself.

Husk: *murmuring* "just knock. If he's awake he'd answer. But if he's asleep it's probably best not to so you don't wake him. But I just need to knock..... It's not that hard.... "
He then begins repeating himself.

I go to open the door then stop. I look around my room and 'accidentally' knock over a lamp.

*acting* "Nugget! Careful"

Nugget gives me a confused look then I hear Husk.

Husk: *sighs and mutters* "he's awake.... Good" *he then knocks the door*

"I'll be there in a second" I say being right next to the door and I haphazardly put the lamp back up.

I open the door and look at Husk. He's wearing really baggy clothes, his fur and feathers is ruffled, his wings and his ears down. He still looks exhausted. He jumped slightly when I opened the door.

Husk: *tries giving a smile* "I'm surprised you're still awake...."

"ye I was just about to go to bed" *I give a warm smile* "you okay Husk?"

Husk: *scratching back of neck* "can I.... Uh...." *looks down* "uh sleep in your room?"

I nod and move to the side so he can come in.

"i can sleep on the sofa and you can sleep on the bed?"

Husk: *shakes head* "it's fine.... I can sleep on the sofa...."

"but-"

Husk: "please....."

I reluctantly nod and watch as he sits on the sofa. When Nugget goes to lick Husk he jumps accidentally hitting Nugget causing Nugget to back away. Husk apologises to Nugget but Nugget just runs under my bed. I reassure Husk that it's okay and that Nugget will likely forget about it. I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and put on a sleeping gown then lay on my bed.

"goodnight Husk" *I give a warm smile as he nods then I turn off the lights*

I try to sleep but I can tell Husk is just sat on the sofa not doing anything..... Not laying down to sleep..... Just sitting..... I want to say something.... But I don't want to make it awkward for him.....

Husk: *whispers* "you still up?"
Of course

*I turn on the light and sit up* "yea?"

Husk: *eyes widen and he lays down* "uh nothing nevermind"
Whoops....

"uh okay....." *i turn off the lights and lay down*

I keep myself awake and wait to see if he says anything else..... After a while I hear Husk toss and turn then sit up.... I then feel his eyes staring ta me.....

Husk: *murmurs* "I'm sorry....."
Sorry?

"we have already said sorry to eachother no need to say any more......" I go to turn on the lights but stop since I remember how his face was when I did last time.....
