Wooing Y/n over seemed harder than Minji had expected. It had been 4 months of Minji constantly asking Y/n on dates and buying them gifts to let them know that she's always thinking about them.
Y/n and Minji were really close. Minji thought that because they were so close... that it would be easy to ask Y/n out on a date...
But she was wrong.
- Minji POV -
"I've told you before. I don't date and I don't plan on ever doing it again," Y/n was trying to return the flowers I had bought them.
Y/n always did this...
We would be having a nice day together... working, joking around, and just enjoying each other's company...
But whenever I tried to take my chance to do something special for them..
I was always rejected.
"Stop wasting your money on me. It's never going to happen," Y/n slammed the flowers against my chest and walked away.
I took a deep breath to try to ease my aching heart.
It's not that I was delusional, crazy, or didn't know how to take 'no' for an answer. It's that I could sense Y/n holding back. Just when it felt like we were on the verge of getting extremely close, Y/n would start to pull away.
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow!" I tried to keep my head up as I watched Y/n walk out of the company building.
"See ya!" Y/n didn't even bother to turn around to say goodbye.
I held my head up high until Y/n was no longer in sight... then dropped it when I couldn't handle the heartache anymore...
"Rejected again, huh?" My best friend Hanni suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
"Yeah," I sighed out as I lifted the boquete of flowers in my hand.
"Flowers, huh? I thought this time you'd buy Y/n food or something they could wear. At least then you'd know they'd use it!" Y/n started to tease.
"Yeah, should've bought toothpaste or something Y/n could actually need," I was being sarcastic but it wasn't a bad idea.
"Anyway, ready to go home?" Hanni playfully pushed me.
"Yup!" I pushed her back.
- Y/N POV -
I sighed when I arrived home. There was a huge gift basket at my front door.
"Not again," I exhaled out.
I picked up the basket and walked into my condo.
My condo was filled with flowers, gift bags, and many other things I had never opened. The only thing I would open was the letters that came with each gift.
I liked to read the nice things that Minji wrote for me.
Minji was sweet, successful, and she was really understanding of my rejections. Even though it never appeared like would ever stop asking me out.
"Sorry," The front of the letter envelope read.
Minji had a funny habit of sending me a gift after a rejection. She's quickly buy something online and include a letter with the package. I didn't like that it wasn't hand written but her words made up for it.
