Narrator

Footsteps were echoing through the halls. The noise was getting louder and faster by the second.

"Come on!!!" Someone could be heard yelling throughout the school.

"LETSSS GOOO!!" Someone else yelled.

The auditorium doors suddenly busted open and the last remaining group of the night ran up the stage.

The cheering crowd suddenly got quiet.

Everyone on stage started to panic.

There was someone missing.

The frontman of the band walked over to the lonely electric guitar in the background and turned to look at the audience.

"Pham! Catch!" The frontman yelled...

And the whole crowd went wild.

- Hanni POV -

"I'm not interested. Besides, I only play the acoustic guitar," I set the record straight with Y/n.

Y/n had been trying to recruit me into their band since the start of term. Their strings player had moved over school break and now Y/n's band was down a band member.

"Oh, c'mon!" Y/n whined like always.

I sighed in annoyance and closed my locker to head to class.

"I've told you before, find someone else. I'm not interested," I exhaled out... then walked around Y/n to get to my destination...

"Wait!" Y/n suddenly grabbed my wrist.

I quickly snatched my wrist from their grip and hissed out, "What have I told you about doing that?"

This was a usual occurrence for us.

Y/n would pretty much beg for me to join their band and I'd refuse. Y/n would do anything to stop me and try to pursue me, but it never worked.

I was tired of it.

"Sorry," Y/n mumbled... and I walked away...

It didn't take long before I was caught by another recently insufferable being.

Y/n's drummer.

Kim Minji.

"How's the pretty lady doing today?" Minji asked.

My heart began to race at her unexpected words... but I knew she was just mocking me...

"Pretty? Must be a lie if it's coming from you," I scoffed and turned to walk to class.

- Y/N POV -

"Did I do something wrong again?" Minji looked at me confused.

"I think that was a compliment," I answered a little confused myself.

Usually, I didn't like to seem desperate but we needed someone to complete the group before the upcoming band competition.

The band and I could usually manage without a proper guitarist, but for some reason, the school needed 4-member bands. I guess they didn't want small bands in case the members got into fights and someone quit.

Our school was known for having some of the best musicians. Most would turn pro or get into really good art schools around the world.

If there were no bands or talent then the school's reputation would go down.
