Today marked a very special milestone, a few actually. Today marked Leah and I's one year mark. I couldn't believe it, and I couldn't be happier. I've loved every minute I've spent with her and my love grows more every day. I was fortunate enough to plan a nice brunch for the two of us, but not a dinner due to the fact we had a game tonight.
That leads to the next milestone, Vic's return. She was set to return today for minimal minutes. She told me Jonas had told her she'd play the last ten minutes plus stoppage time. Vic felt ready and I could only support her, we all were behind her and couldn't wait for her return. I smiled at the thought of it actually, I couldnt be prouder of what Vic's accomplished in rehab.
I glanced once more at the clock before rolling over and snaking my arm around Leah's waist. She mumbled something before lacing her hand with mine. I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face, she was adorable in the morning. I leaned in to kiss her bare shoulder, and I began peppering them making a trail to her neck until she groaned and turned to face me. A smirk present on her face. "Hi," she whispered with a blush.
"Good morning Leah, do you know what today is?" I grinned.
"Do you know what today is?" She fired back playfully.
"Of course I do," I leaned in connecting our lips, it was slow, loving. There was no lust present, just pure love. I pulled away slightly resting my forehead against hers. Leah's eyes opened meeting mine, I got lost in them, memorizing every shade of blue present. "Happy one year Leah, I love you."
She leaned in pressing her lips against mine once again, it was a quick kiss but still held powerful emotions. "Happy one year to you Tess. I love you so much." I smiled before wrapping her in my arms as we enjoyed the morning. It was a quiet one, but the sun was out today. The clouds that consumed London had lost their battle against the sun as it shone through our bedroom window. I sucked in a breath enjoying the morning once more before untangling my arms from Leah's torso and getting out of bed. I stood and stretched as Leah frowned at me, "Why'd you get up." She pouted.
"Because we've got less than two hours to get ready and I still want to shower before you hog the bathroom."
"I do not hog the bathroom-" I raised my eyebrow and stared down at her.
"Okay maybe I do." I grinned and leaned down placing a kiss on her lips. "And I love you for it Le."
Leah had gotten up and made the bed by the time I'd gotten out of the shower, now she stood in front of her closet debating on what to wear. with just a towel around my body, I came up behind her and set my chin on her bare shoulder as she was just in a bra and shorts. "It's just brunch Le, nothing fancy." A blush formed in her face, I loved how I could always still make her blush.
"I know," she began. "But I want to look good."
"Well," I removed my head from her shoulder and opened my side of the closet grabbing clothes. "You look good in everything."
"And nothing." I added as I walked past her setting clothes on the bed so I could change. Leah stood there for a moment, frozen, before grabbing a pair of cream cargos and a white sweater. See? Hot in everything.
Once Leah and I changed, I rushed to the bathroom before Leah could get there. I wanted to blow dry my hair before she took over the mirror. "Hey!"
"Snooze you lose Leah." I snickered causing an annoyed smile to cross her face. She just watched from the doorway as I did my hair which didn't take long. My hair wasn't very long, it only went just past my shoulders and wasn't super thick either. We simply enjoyed each others presence while I did my hair. I always felt calm around her, it's like I knew I was safe and could relax when I'm near her.
