"Leah! Come on! You cannot seriously be that bad at riding bikes!" I tried to reason as best I could with her, but she would not budge.
"Ask Keira. She'll tell you." I rolled my eyes, I've heard the story numerous times. I walked over to Leah who stood in the kitchen with her arms crossed; I loved when she was stubborn. I slowly snaked my arms around her, weasling my way into her space and pulling her into me. I placed a loving kiss on her lips before pulling away slightly and pouting.
"Please, will you come with me? Just this once, Lotte's busy and I really don't want to go alone." I whined.
With her arms still crossed she huffed before staring at me, her eyes fighting to not give in. I was lost in her blue eyes like usual, there was so much love within them. I memorized every part of them over and over again. "What would I even ride? You only have one bike."
I grinned before pulling away and laughing, though Leah did not appreciate this and frowned. "I'm sorry, I just- hold on." I doubled over in laughter which only made Leah more upset.
"This isn't helping your case Tess."
"Het spijt me. Have you not seen the second bike in the garage?" Leah furrowed her eyebrows at me.
"Leah, mijn beste, I got another bike over a month ago. My friends at Canyon sent me their new model. It's right next to my old one." Leah's face showed pure confusion, so I took her hand in mine, still trying to contain my laughter, and pulled her towards the garage.
"See," I said opening the door to reveal two bikes hung on the wall.
"Oh." Was all she said and I forced the grin on my face to hide itself as she slowly turned to face me. Though a small smile could be found on Leah's face because she knew she'd been absolutely clueless. My heart fluttered at the sight while a loving smile took over my face.
"Okay." Was all she said.
"Okay?"
"I'll go."
"Yes!" My hands shot up in the air. "Oh my god! Thank you Leah! I love you sooo much!" I kissed her multiple times as the smile on her face grew.
"Okay, okay! Let's get moving before I change my mind." My eyes widened and I quickly got moving packing our bags and finding my spare clips that she could use. Perks of wearing the same size shoes. Should I have probably changed the clip in pedals to flats for Leah? Yeah, but I'm too lazy to do that. She'll be fine.
As I loaded the bike onto the bike rack, Leah opted to grab our bags setting them in the car and picking our music for the short drive to the trails Lotte and I would ride. "Country? Again?" I mused finally taking my seat on the drivers side. I raised an eyebrow at Leah as she turned to face me with a embarrassed look on her face; like she'd been caught.
"You said you liked these artists so I thought I could play them." I couldn't help but smile at the worried look on Leah's face, I was only teasing her really. She'd actually put me on country music a lot more lately and I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. I took Leah's hand as she went to change the music and pulled it into my lap. "Le, I was joking. I love your music." She blushed, making my love for her grow even more. If that was even possible.
When we arrived and I parked the car, it was clear that Leah's nerves had arrived once more. Especially when she realized she'd be clipped into the bike and wouldn't be able to take her feet off when falling. "Are you sure about this? Can't I just wear regular shoes and not clips?"
