Two days passed and today I returned to duty, after my recovery period was complete
"What? Tomorrow is the day we will retake the district trost?" I said
"Yes, the garrison gave me one chance to prove my innocence, but..." said Eren
"but?" I asked Eren
"If I fail...nothing will change," Eren replied
"We will not fail, Eren." said Mikasa
"...., I will join this operation" I said
"what? (Y/N)! "You've just come out of the hospital, don't force yourself," said Armin
"No, I need to do this. "Not just you guys, I too need to prove myself," I said
"But, are you really okay?" said Eren
"Don't worry about me, I can take care of my own" I said
The days passed quickly, today is the day we will take back the Trost district from the hands of those titans.
"Let me ask you once again, cadet yeager. You can do it right?" Pixis said
"I'm not sure whether I can or not, but I'll do it!" said Eren
"well said, you're quite the man." Pixis said
"This is it, Eren. Let's give our best" I said to Eren
"Staff officers, assemble! Prepare to strategize," said Pixis to his troops
"what? Seriously? Calling this plan 'optimistic' would be an understatement. How can we just go ahead of it?" said Armin in surprise
"I agree with you, but it's pointless to question his decision. I'm sure commander pixis can see something we can't." said Eren
"Something we can't?" I said
"Besides, there's probably a fundamental issue to deal with before executing the plan. "I'm sure the commander is fully aware of that," said Eren
"Which means..." said Armin
"Our enemy isn't just a titan," said Eren
"Whatever it is, we must proceed with caution, be alert to unexpected variables..." I said
"right" said Eren
"Why do I feel so uneasy on this, like something might be happening..., I must be aware, otherwise we will be in danger" I said in mind
"Time is of the essence, we have a role for you to fulfill, young soldiers," said PixisEren left with pixis and Armin went to take care of some things, leaving me and Mikasa alone to wait for further orders.
"There's something that I am confused about, why are you so overprotective with Eren?" I said to Mikasa
"when I was little, my parent was killed by bad guy who tried to rob my house, they protected me from them. "But in the end I got kidnapped by them and my parents died....Eren...is the one who saved me back there...otherwise...I would have been sold to the nobles" Mikasa replied
