(Y/n)'s POV
All training corps troops were called to a hall for inspection and equipment checking. There was a case where one of the soldiers used ODM Gear without permission, in other words using military equipment illegally. And another case, namely the destruction of Titan research subjects captured by the Survey Corps, these two cases are related to each other, and were carried out by someone who is not yet known.
"When was the last time the shaft was replaced?" said the inspection officer
"Six days ago, after the cleaning operation," replied Sasha
"She cheeks out," said another officer
"Okay, next! You there," said the inspection officer to Krista
"I'm Krista Lenz of the 42nd Squad," Krista replied
"We'll inspect your gear," he said while checking the ODM gear
"Wow, this is a total mess, to think the subject all killed to dust, and no one knows who's the culprit" I said
"The culprit must've really hated the Titans," said Connie
"Yeah, but in this case, they pretty much helped the titans out. Their lust for revenge may have been satisfied," said Armin
"but mankind will suffer far more damages for it, the chance for us to know deeply about titans gone that easily" I said
"Indeed" replied Armin
"Before I saw Titan, I seriously planned to enlist in the survey corps. But now, I'm not sure. Today's the day we decide too." said Connie
"...., I have already made up my choice. I'll enlist to survey corps," I said
"I'm not suprised that you'll enlist for survey corps, but.....hey annie, what do you think? Jean of all people said he'd enlist in the survey corps," said Connie
"huh? Jean did?" said Armin surprised
"Nothing really," replied Annie
"You're set on the military police brigade, right? I should go there too, shouldn't I?" said Connie, unsure of her choice
"say, if someone told you to die, would you?" Annie asked
"What do you mean? Of course not." Connie replied
"Then why not decide for yourself." Annie replied
"Ugh..." said Connie
"Armin, how about you?" Annie asked Armin
"eh....I....i think that if there's a legitimate reason, there might be no other choice but to die. I wouldn't like it though," replied Armin
"I see, so you've decided," said Annie
"yeah.... I chose where I'd enlist a long time ago," said Armin
"Seriously? Armin, you too?" said Connie
"it's not like you have to be so strong to enlist in survey corps, what they look like is a mental strength and strong guts." I said
"You're the weak one, Armin. But you do have guts," said Annie
"T...Thanks. Annie, you're actually pretty kind, huh?" said Armin
"huh?" said Annie confused
"i mean, it seems like you don't want us to join the survey corps. Is there a reason why you want to join the military police brigade though?" said Armin
"Not really.... I just want.... to save myself..." said Annie

Mikasa's POV
After the inspection was complete, everyone disbanded, in the end the military police could not find out who was using the ODM gear without permission. Didn't realize the sun had reached the horizon. I daydreamed in the corner of the cabin.
....
"There's something that you should figure it out yourself," said (Y/N)
"There are things that are better kept secret than revealed.... it'll only hurt you more"

"Hey, Mikasa. What's wrong?" Armin came over to Mikasa
"eh....oh, It's.... nothing" Mikasa replied
"You're worried about Eren? Don't worry Mikasa, I'm sure they treat him well," comforted Armin
"...., Armin, do you think (Y/N)'s behavior is kinda fishy.... I mean towards me...?" Mikasa asked
"Fishy? I don't see anything fishy about him, and what do you mean by that?" said Armin
"He....he knows all of my past...how my parents died, everything...how on earth he knows that? We didn't even know each other, we didn't even meet," I said
"now you mention it, there's not much profile information about him. He just said he's from shiganshina like us, but besides that there's not much information, it's like he's hiding something," said Armin
"....." I was just silent hearing Armin's words, all of this was too difficult for me to digest.
"Mikasa, how do you feel about him?" said
"I just.... I don't know.... I hate him, I don't know how to say that I hate him so much even deep down my heart I feel a burst of hate towards him.... but.... but on the other hand of my heart tell me.... he's the person I seek for.... I'm confused Armin.." I said
"The person you are looking for? I though Eren was-" Armin's words were cut off by me
"I know... but... I don't know Armin... I keep remembering something that I didn't know" I said while hugging my legs
"...., I...I think you must be tired, Mikasa. you need some rest," said Armin
"I....I think so" I said
"Well, it's time Mikasa. Let's go to the enrollment place. It's gonna start," said Armin
"Yeah, Let's go" I replied
