You went out of the room and found the guys in the verandah with glasses on their hand. They brought the drinks.

"There's Cass."

Caleb spoke and made the two men turned their heads to look at you. You sweetly smiled and hugged your Papa Dean and kissed your Dad in the cheek.

"Why don't I cook so you guys can stay for dinner?" Caleb finally spoke.

"Wow, it's a rare occasion for our son to cooks for us, Lean."

"That's right! I won't miss it for the world."

They headed inside while Caleb pulled you to his side and leaned to your ear.

"Can we just show them that everything's okay between us?" you tried to calm your nerves and responded to him.

"You don't need to remind me every time," you walked past him and headed to the couch where your fathers are waiting while Caleb started cooking.

He's just selling the act of a loving husband. I just hope this night ends soon.

**************************

You were quiet the whole time as they talk about the business.

"So when do you guys plan to move to your house? It's been finished for quite a while now. Papa Dean asked. I glanced at Caleb first who didn't bother looking at my direction.

"I don't know, Pa. I don't want to be left alone in a big house when Caleb leave," you were talkng continuously without looking at any of them. Both your fathers looked at him.

"He's not going anywhere, Hija. He's staying here for good," Caleb's eyes met yours but as always, you're having a hard time guessing what those looks mean.

"Really?" it came out in a sarcastic tone and it was Caleb who answered this time.

"Of course, I should be where my wife is, right?" it sounded sweet but you know for a fact that he's just trying to please them.

Gladly, they let the topic go and went back to discussing business. After dinner, they headed to the verandah with a bottle of wine while you stayed in the kitchen to clean up. Your Dad approached you.

"Can we talk?" his voice suddenly became serious.

"Of course, Dad. What's up?" you stood still while looking at him.

"How is Caleb treating you?" you were taken aback and didn't respond right away. You need to think fast so he won't suspect anything. You smiled and faced him, hands on top of his.

"He's been great, Dad," God, I hope he's not as good as Cindy in reading my facial expression.

"I just want to be sure that he's being nice to you. When we made this pact with his family, I never doubted you won't be treated well but you haven't actually been together so I am worried. You don't look very happy considering he just came back. We can always go to the US to get a divorce if you're not really not getting along, you know?" that's probably one of the reasons why you needed to have this wedding in Vegas. So you can easily part ways. And that thought made your heart thump.

"Dad, seriously, I'm fine. We're fine. Don't worry about it, okay?" you tried to sound happy so he won't worry.

"You're my only family since you're Mom's gone.  You can't help but make me worry about you. If things aren't going well, you can always come home to me, okay?" his eyes are fixed on you. You squeezed his hand gently to assure him that everything's okay. He seem convinced and didn't ask anything more.

Just then, Caleb and your Papa Dean are headed your way. You finished cleaning up. Caleb stood beside you, his hands on your waist again. He pressed a gentle kiss on your temple. Here he goes again. You trembled a bit but since both your father's eyes are on you, you tried to act sweet towards him as well. You leaned close to him and place your hand on his abs and leaned closer to his chest. His body stiffened. Your fathers' smiled ear-to-ear.

"I think we should go ahead," your Papa Dean said.

"Goodnight, kids," your Dad leaned for a kiss while you hug your Papa Dean.

You quickly pushed Caleb aside as soon as the door closed. You were about to head to your room when he grabbed your wrist and pushed you on the wall. His eyes on you. You can smell his breath. He had been drinking with his Papa and probably finished the bottle. You tried to push him but he won't budge.

"Were you telling the truth earlier when you said you don't want to move to our new house because you thought I might leave again?" his eyes are full of...pain and disappointment?

"You left six months ago, right after our wedding. I do not expect you coming back now to live with me without knowing when you'll disappear again," you tried to sweep his arms off.

"Don't you want to live me?" his face an inch away from you. You're trying to control your heart as it beat like miles per second. You inhaled deeply before you spoke.

"Look, I don't know what you want to hear from me. It's been a long night and I am tired. I just want to sleep," you shoved his arm that's trapping you and headed inside the room before he had the chance to grab you again.

You thought you were too tired to sleep easily but an hour has passed and you're still awake. The conversation you had is still in your head. You heard the door open and pretended to sleep. Caleb moved closer to you. You can feel him breathing in your neck and his arms pulled you closer to his body. He's not wearing a shirt.

"You don't know what you're doing to me," and then he sniffed your hair. What does he mean by that?  But then, you fell asleep.
