Chapter 17: ECLIPSE

CALEB'S POV:

Everything's falling into place. Cass and I are in good terms. I also took care of the photo circulating in the internet. I don't want people to speculate as it might also affect Cass. 

Eclipse will finally reopen tomorrow. Guests are by invitation only and almost everyone had already RVSP'd. Only a few media people are also invited.

Papa and Dad will be present together with some of the board member of M&S and Elite and of course my wife, Cass. They're our VIPs. This will also be the our first event together as husband and wife. I'm kinda excited.

We're in my suite. Cass is in the shower while I wait for her in the bed. She brought some of her clothes here so she can also sleepover.

I am finalizing some details for tomorrow's event to make sure everything will go smoothly. 

I am very hands-on when it comes to the management. I personally check and work on the menus, supplies and the main decision-maker of the business and when it comes to hiring people. Justin does the marketing and manages our website. That's his forte. Ashley takes care of the reservations and schedules and the overall operations on a daily basis. Sometimes, she helps out in the kitchen when needed. I can only be requested to cook for special occasions and VIP requests but it needs to be scheduled.

Cass sat beside me after coming out of the bathroom. I can still smell her body wash and shampoo. She also wears the perfume I gave her.

"It's almost midnight and you're still working," she said as she leans on me. I'm so happy she gets very comfortable with me now. I turned my laptop off and pulled her in a warm embrace. 

"Did you tell your bosses about us?" I asked as I kiss her hair.

"Y-yeah. When I gave them the invitations, they asked how we're related so I didn't have a choice. Hope that's okay."

"Of course! We might also be asked tomorrow."

"I know."

"Papa and Dad wants to formally announce it on the company's banquet next month. I guess we'll have to wait.

"Right. They're more excited."

"Aren't you?"

"Kind of."

"Kind of?"

"Well, I haven't really announced any relationship in public so it's kinda new to me and I don't know what to expect."

"I can't wait to tell everybody that you're mine," I leaned in to give her a kiss. Her body responded. We were both panting as our lips parted.

"Did you see the dress in the closet?" I gave her the dress to wear for tomorrow's event.

"Yes, it fits me perfectly. How did you know my size?"

I nibbled her ear before responding.

"Of course I know. I hug you at night and I've roamed my hand all over your body like this."

She screamed as I pulled and cuddled her to sleep.

I woke up earlier than Cass so I can still prepare before the guests come. As usual, I cook her breakfast. I've also been asking one of my waiters to brings her lunch in the office everyday. Troy didn't really ask who's it for but I think he has an idea who Cass is.

I woke her up after I finish setting up the table. She looks so beautiful in the morning and I love the sight of waking up next to her. I'm just really glad we still can do this even with our busy schedules.

After breakfast, she went inside the room and went out with her laptop. She said she needs to finish some work before the event starts. I finished cleaning up and kissed her goodbye before heading out. I'll be back an hour before the event to dress up while Cass will walk in with Papa and Dad.

The crew is complete when I arrived. Even Justin and Ashley are already here. She automatically kissed my cheek when she saw me walk in while Justin shook my hand, a bit harder than usual. I gently get loose from Ashley and addressed my crew.

"It is imperative that we provide good food and good service in today's event. It will determine the potential number of clients we can book in the next couple of days and our income, of course. I expect everyone is at their 100% today so let's get this party started!" a round of applause followed as I ended my little speech. I excused myself and went to my office. Justin and Ashley followed.

"Are the deliveries on time?" I asked them as I look into some paper works.

"Yes, the seafoods will be here by noon. The rest just arrived. The chef's gonna start working on them," Ashley replied as she also taps on her tablet.

"Good."

"Mr. Craig and his wife also confirmed their attendance."

"I haven't seen Alexander's wife before."

"I think they just came from Europe with the twins. It's their 7th birthday a week ago."

My phone suddenly ring and Cass' face flashed. Justin smile while Ashley was confused.

"Sorry, I'll just take this." I stood up and walked to the corner of the room. Justin excused himself while Ashley remains in the room.

"Hey, Hon. What's up?"

"I need to run back in the office for a conference call. I'll go with Cindy later."

"Is everything okay?"

"Y-Yeah, just something I need to do."

"Okay, but don't be late. Should I pick you up later?"

"No, it's okay. You'll be busy later. You need to save your energy. We'll be there before you know it."

"Okay then. I'll wait for you here."

"Don't forget to shower and get changed, okay?"

"I won't. See you and take care."

"Yup, see you."

"Who's that?" I was startled coz I thought she already left.

"Just...someone." I hate lying like that!

"Uh-huh..." she doesn't see convinced but didn't ask anymore.

"By the way, is the VIP room all set?"

"Yeah, Sam and Josh will handle that area."

"Good. I need my best people to serve and attend to them. Here's the guest list."

She went through them and suddenly I noticed her brow creased.

"Cassandra Silverio. Relative?" she knows I'm an only child.

"Sort of and she's someone very special."

"Uh-huh...okay then, I'll be right outside when you need me," her heels clinked the floor as she leaves my office.

ASHLEY'S POV:

"Troy, come here." I pulled him in a corner.

"When you go to Elite to deliver food, who were you asking for?"

"Cassie Mercado."

"Is it the same...?"

"What's that Ms. Hale?"

"Nothing. Go back to what you're doing."

"Alright."

Who the hell is she?
