Nash's POV.

*a day before the masquerade ball*

"Nash?" Liz called me from the downstairs. I was currently playing my video game and eating some chips I bought yesterday.

I quickly walked out from my room and headed downstairs to saw her.

"Yes?"

"Nash are you serious you're not going to the ball?" Liz asked.

I didn't know what to say because honestly I wanted to go but yesterday I got a call from Clarence, saying that Becca won't be at the ball so it would be a waste of time if I came. But part of me still wanted to come and hope that she would make it.

"What do you think I should do?" I finally asked Liz.

"Here, I suggest you to come. I'll find you a ticket for tonight" she suggested and I was speechless.

"But what if-"

"She will make it, Nash. I believe that she will" Liz assured me.

"Okay but in one condition" I said.

"Which is?"

"I don't want my friends know that I'm going to the ball so I might need to rent a hotel room for me to stay" I explained and she nodded.

"Okay you can rent a hotel room. You have your own money, remember?" she replied and I nodded.

"Go pack your stuff I'll book a ticket for you" she demanded and I quickly ran to my room and packed all of my stuff.

It took me an hour to finished my packing. After I done with my stuff, I went back donwstairs to see how was Liz doing.

"Here's your ticket" Liz said as she handed me a one way ticket. "The flight will be at seven this evening so you still have around an hour to get ready"

I quickly walked closer to her and hugged her. I loved her so much. She was just like my mom and I would never ask for more than her.

"Thank you so much for everything" I said, still hugging her. I could feel that she was smiling at me.

"You're welcome honey, I just want you to make a right decision" she replied and cupped my face then she was smiling at me.

Then there was Hayes.

"You're going back to Miami?" he asked.

"Yeah but probably I'm going back here I guess" I answered.

"If you feel like you can't make it, then you don't need to. Spend your time with Rebecca or maybe yeah you can come back just in case if Rebecca can't make it" Liz who heard my conversation with Hayes then joined our little talk, "But I'm pretty sure that you needn't to come back here"

"What should I say once I see her?" I asked Liz. I know I was acting like a five year old kid but at this point I just didn't care.

"Just listen to her explanation dude and give her a second chance" Hayes simply said to me and Liz agreed him.

"Sounds good eh? Anyway I should get ready because I'm leaving in like fifty minutes" I announced them and took a quick shower and stripped into my black v-neck shirt and black skinny jeans and I was also wearing my gray hoodie. It was almost four thirty and I seriously needed to get going as soon as possible.

Liz dropped me at the airport and finally we said goodbye to each other and of course I hugged her for the one last time. I then entered the airport and took care of my baggage because I didn't want to put it on the cabin.
