It took a while to get used to each within this new relationship, but they were able to succeed.

"Wei! Move!" Luca said as he kicked Wei out of the bed. "You keep hogging my side."

Wei sprawled across the bed like a starfish, his limbs claiming every available inch of space. Luca, relegated to a sliver of sheet near the edge, poked him in the ribs with a playful growl.

"Move, starfish! You're stealing all the blankets and the air!"

Wei stirred, blinking at him with sleepy amusement. "But meira," he murmured, his voice thick with sleep, "you're the heater. I need your warmth."

Luca scoffed, but he couldn't quite hold back a smile. Wei was still a furnace, even in his sleep, radiating heat that chased away the remnants of the crisp autumn air that clung to Luca's skin.

He snuggled closer, relishing the familiar comfort, the way their bodies fit together like puzzle pieces, years of separation melting away like morning mist.

The two decided to sleep in for the weekend at Luca's new apartment.

They lay entangled for a while, the silence punctuated only by the gentle rumble of the city awakening outside their window.

It was a comfortable silence, the kind that spoke volumes without needing words. They had spent the weekend cocooned in Luca's new apartment, a haven they were slowly building together, brick by brushstroke.

"Hey," Wei mumbled, his voice husky with sleep. "You awake?"

Luca hummed in response, nuzzling closer.

"You know," Wei continued, his voice barely a whisper, "I used to think I'd lost you forever."

Luca's heart skipped a beat. He lifted his head, his gaze meeting Wei's in the dim light.

"I did too," he confessed, his voice barely audible. "You know, this still feels like a dream to me."

Luca's smile mirrored the sunshine creeping through the blinds. "A really good dream," he repeated, tracing the curve of Wei's jaw with his fingertip. "One I never want to wake up from."

Wei's eyes softened, a thousand unspoken words swirling within their depths. He leaned in, his lips brushing against Luca's ear. "Then let's make it a reality, Dae," he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down Luca's spine. "Let's paint this dream onto the canvas of our lives, brushstroke by brushstroke."

Luca's heart echoed with the rhythm of Wei's words. He cupped Wei's face, his touch lingering on the warmth of his cheek. "Together," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "We'll paint it together, stroke by precious stroke, until this dream becomes our forever."

A comfortable silence descended, filled only with the soft murmur of the city awakening outside and the rhythmic beat of their intertwined hearts. They lay there, two souls woven together like the threads of a tapestry, their past a faded backdrop to the vibrant present they were creating.

"So," Wei finally broke the silence, his voice tinged with playful amusement, "what color do we start with?"

Luca chuckled, the sound warm and rich like honey. "Sunshine yellow," he declared, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "For the golden light that brought us back together."

Wei grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "And a touch of moonlight blue," he added, his voice dropping to a husky whisper. "For the night we found each other again."

They spent the morning like that, lost in a playful banter of colors and memories, painting their dreams onto the canvas of their future. They imagined laughter-filled mornings, lazy afternoons spent sketching in sun-drenched parks, and quiet evenings curled up with whispered secrets under starry skies.

Each brushstroke, each imagined shade, solidified the reality of their second chance. The fear that had lingered, a ghost in the corner of their minds, slowly dissolved, replaced by a vibrant hope that pulsed with every beat of their hearts.

As the sun climbed higher, painting the room in a warm glow, they finally emerged from their cocoon of blankets. The apartment, once unfamiliar, now held the promise of laughter and shared dreams. Boxes became stepping stones to a future they were building together, each unpacked item a testament to their newfound courage.

"We're missing the lights," Luca said as he looked through the boxes.

"You mean these?" Wei asked as he took out a box filled with an assortment of lights.

"Thank you meira," Luca said as he took the boxes and started unwrapping the lights.

Once he was done, Luca looked at the new haven they had been creating.

It was different from the balcony.

No longer just a temporary haven, this apartment was a fledgling nest, woven with threads of hope and anticipation.

The balcony, with its moonlit confessions and whispered fears, was a snapshot, a single brushstroke in the grander painting of their lives.

Here, the air buzzed with the energy of creation. Sunlight streamed through the windows, bathing the room in a golden glow, illuminating each unpacked box as a potential treasure trove of shared memories. The walls, once bare and impersonal, were waiting for the colorful tapestry of their dreams.

"Different," Luca murmured, his voice thick with emotion, "but perfect."

Wei smiled, a slow, warm curve that reached his eyes. "More than perfect," he corrected, pulling Luca close. "This is home, meira. This is where our dreams take root, where our colors bleed together, where our masterpiece comes alive."

And as their lips met, a silent promise bloomed in the air, a promise whispered in the language of shared breaths and tangled limbs.

They would fill this haven with their laughter and tears, their triumphs and stumbles, their every brushstroke a testament to the love that had found its way back home, not just to each other, but to itself, reborn in the warmth of a shared future, under the gentle gaze of a sun-kissed apartment, different from the balcony, yet undeniably perfect.
