Joshua stood in the doorway of Seokmin's lavish apartment, his heart sinking at the scene before him. The once opulent space now bore the marks of chaos and pain. Seokmin sat on the couch, his head bowed with tears streaming down his face. Around him lay injured people, some being attended to by emergency responders, others tragically still.

With hesitant steps, Joshua approached Seokmin, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. He sat down beside him, wanting to offer comfort, but Seokmin's anguished voice cut through the air before he could speak.

"Baby, everything is over. I'm sorry," Joshua murmured, his voice trembling with emotion.

Seokmin looked up, his eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and anger. "You're not sorry," he said bitterly, his voice cracking with pain. "Why did you even come into our lives? Tell me!"

Seizing Joshua's collar with trembling hands, Seokmin's voice rose to a desperate shout. "Tell me!" he demanded, his grip tightening in anguish. Joshua was silent, unable to find words that could possibly justify the devastation he had caused.

"You ruined our life," Seokmin continued, his voice breaking. "You ruined my child's childhood. How dare you!" Each word was a knife, slicing through Joshua's heart. "Leave us. Make our life as it was in the beginning. You ruined our life."

Seokmin released Joshua's collar, his hands falling to his sides as he collapsed into sobs. "Hope you die," he whispered, the words filled with a pain that shook Joshua to his core. "You're a bastard. Who only cares about himself and doesn't care about others. Get out."

Joshua sat there, stunned and shattered. He had never seen Seokmin like this—so broken, so filled with raw anguish and betrayal. The accusations pierced him deeply, each one a reminder of the irreversible damage he had caused. He wanted to reach out, to hold Seokmin and beg for forgiveness, but he knew there was no forgiveness for what he had done.

Without a word, Joshua leaned in and wrapped his arms around Seokmin, pulling him close. He could feel the tremors running through Seokmin's body, the silent sobs that spoke volumes. Joshua placed a gentle hand on the back of Seokmin's head, guiding it to rest against his chest. For a moment, Seokmin resisted, thrashing weakly in Joshua's embrace, but the fight soon drained out of him. He gave in, collapsing into Joshua, and the tears came, a floodgate of pent-up emotions.

Seokmin’s sobs were raw and unrestrained, each one tearing at Joshua's soul. Joshua held him tighter, hoping his embrace could offer some semblance of comfort. He stroked Seokmin’s hair, murmuring soothing words, though he knew they might do little to ease the pain.

Minutes stretched on, and gradually, Seokmin's cries subsided into soft whimpers. He pushed against Joshua weakly, signaling his desire to pull away. Reluctantly, Joshua loosened his hold, giving Seokmin the space he needed. Seokmin sat back, his face a mess of tears and anguish. It was then he noticed the dark stain spreading on Joshua's shirt, just above his hip.
