Jameson and Ava left the abandoned warehouse, making their way back to the city center. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the towering skyscrapers and bustling streets. Jameson couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as they walked, knowing that they were being watched by the cult's eyes.

As they turned a corner, Jameson spotted Rachel's car parked outside the police station. He quickened his pace, his heart racing with anticipation.

Ava followed closely behind him, her eyes scanning the surroundings with a mixture of caution and determination.

When they reached the car, Jameson pulled out his phone and dialed Rachel's number. After a few rings, she answered, her voice husky and tired.

"Jameson, what's going on?" she asked, her tone serious.

"It's about the cult," Jameson said, not beating around the bush. "I've found someone who's willing to help us take them down from the inside."

Rachel's voice sharpened. "Who is it?"

"Ava," Jameson replied, glancing at the woman walking beside him. "She used to be one of Henry's followers, but she's turned against him."

Rachel's tone softened. "Okay, let's hear her out. But be careful, Jameson. If she's involved with the cult, she might be playing you."

Jameson nodded, even though Rachel couldn't see him. "I know. But I think she's telling the truth. She knows more about their plans than I do."

Rachel sighed. "Alright, meet me at my place in an hour. We'll figure out what to do next."

Jameson ended the call and turned to Ava. "She'll help us," he said confidently.

Ava's eyes gleamed with hope. "Thank you," she whispered.

As they arrived at Rachel's apartment complex, Jameson could feel the tension building inside him. He knew that he was taking a risk by involving Rachel in this mess, but he hoped that together, they could finally take down the cult.

Rachel opened the door, her eyes narrowing as she took in Ava's presence. "Who is she?" she asked bluntly.

"Ava used to be part of the cult," Jameson explained. "But she's turned against them and wants to help us stop them."

Rachel raised an eyebrow. "I'll believe it when I see it."

Ava stepped forward, her eyes locked onto Rachel's. "I know I'm not perfect," she said. "But I'm willing to do whatever it takes to stop them. They're using innocent people as sacrifices and will stop at nothing to get what they want."

Rachel snorted. "Save it for the judge."

Jameson intervened before things escalated further. "Rachel, listen to me – we need each other if we're going to stop them. We can't do it alone."

Rachel raised her hands in frustration. "Fine," she said finally. "But if Ava is lying to us, you're dead."

Jameson nodded grimly. "I understand."

The three of them spent the next few hours poring over maps and files, trying to piece together the cult's plans and strategies. Jameson knew that time was running out – they had to act soon before it was too late.

As they worked, Ava seemed quieter than before, her eyes darting nervously around the room as if she was worried about being discovered.

Jameson shot Rachel a questioning look, but Rachel just shrugged.

"I think she's genuinely trying to help," Rachel said quietly.

Jameson nodded slowly. Maybe they had found an unlikely ally...
