Maya and the group of survivors fled through the streets, desperate to put as much distance between themselves and Jameson as possible. They dodged and weaved, using alleys and side streets to avoid the main roads.

As they ran, Maya felt her legs aching with exhaustion. She could feel the weight of her pregnancy bearing down on her, making every step a struggle.

But she couldn't stop. She couldn't rest. Jameson was still out there, hunting her, and she knew that if she didn't find a way to get rid of him, he would eventually catch up to her.

As they turned a corner, Maya caught sight of a sign - "Abandoned Hospital". Without hesitation, she pulled the group towards it.

Inside, they found a maze of dark corridors and deserted rooms. But Maya knew that this could be their only hope. She led the group to the delivery room, hoping against hope that they could find some way to help her give birth to her child safely.

As they entered the room, Maya saw a glimmer of light in the darkness. A nurse's station, abandoned but still stocked with medical supplies. She rushed towards it, scanning the shelves for anything that might help.

And then she saw it - a small ultrasound machine, still humming softly in the corner. Maya's heart leapt with hope as she rushed towards it.

The image on the screen showed her baby, small and perfect. But as she watched, a dark shape began to form around the child. A shape that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy.

Maya felt a chill run down her spine as she realized what was happening. Her child was not just any child. It was Devour's child, born from her body but infused with the monster's dark power.

She looked up at the group, her eyes filled with fear. They had to get out of here, had to find a way to stop Jameson before he got his hands on her baby.

But as they turned to leave, Maya heard a noise behind them. The sound of footsteps, heavy and deliberate.

Maya's heart pounded in her chest as she turned to face Jameson. He loomed over them, his eyes blazing with an otherworldly intensity.

"You're not taking my child," Maya spat, trying to sound braver than she felt.

Jameson's smile twisted his face into a grotesque grin. "Oh, but I already have," he hissed. "And soon, it will be strong enough to join me."

The group around her seemed frozen in terror, unable to move or speak. But Maya knew she had to act. She had to protect her child, no matter what it took.

With a surge of adrenaline, Maya charged at Jameson, determined to distract him long enough for the others to escape. But Jameson was too powerful, too fast. He caught her with ease, his grip like a vice around her waist.

As he lifted her off the ground, Maya saw the group making a run for it. But Jameson's attention was fixed on her, his eyes burning with an unholy hunger.

"You'll never take my child," he growled, his hot breath in her ear.

Maya felt a surge of strength as she remembered her baby. She kicked and struggled against Jameson's grip, trying to break free.

And then, in a flash of inspiration, she remembered the ultrasound machine. She had seen it just moments before, and she knew exactly what it could do.

With a fierce determination, Maya focused all her energy on the machine. She reached out with her mind, using every ounce of strength she possessed to make it work.

The machine hummed to life, emitting a powerful energy beam that shot towards Jameson. The monster stumbled backward, caught off guard by the sudden blast of energy.

Maya took advantage of the distraction to wriggle free from Jameson's grasp. She fell to the ground hard, but she was up again in an instant.

She sprinted towards the group, who were watching in amazement as Jameson stumbled and fell. The monster let out a deafening roar as he struggled to get back to his feet.

Maya grabbed hold of the group and pulled them towards the door. They fled into the night, leaving Jameson's enraged screams echoing behind them.
