Ava and Jameson looked at each other, their minds racing with the revelation. They had to make a decision, and fast. If they trusted Maya, they could potentially get the answers they were looking for. But if they didn't, they risked losing the artifact forever.

"I'll do it," Jameson said finally, his voice firm.

Ava nodded in agreement. "We'll help you find the Amulet of Light," she said.

Maya's face lit up with a small smile. "Thank you," she said. "I knew I could count on you."

Jameson's eyes narrowed. "But we're not doing it for free," he said. "We want something in return."

Maya raised an eyebrow. "What do you want?" she asked.

Ava pulled out the map they had found earlier. "We want to know what this symbol means," she said. "And we want to know what Ethan's plan is."

Maya's eyes flickered to the map, then back to Ava and Jameson. "Deal," she said. "I'll tell you everything I know if you help me get the Amulet of Light."

Jameson nodded. "Good," he said. "Let's get started."

Maya led them out of the room, down a series of corridors and stairs, until they reached a large underground chamber filled with ancient artifacts and relics.

"This is the Heart of the Ancients," Maya said, her voice filled with reverence. "It's where Mr. Henry kept his most prized possessions."

Ava's eyes scanned the room, taking in the sights and sounds of the ancient technology and mysterious devices.

"Where do we start?" Jameson asked, his voice filled with excitement.

Maya smiled. "We start by finding the first clue," she said. "It's hidden in one of these artifacts."

As they began to search the room, Ava felt a strange sensation in her pocket. She reached in and pulled out a small piece of paper that had been folded up into a tiny square.

"What is it?" Jameson asked, his voice curious.

Ava unfolded the paper, revealing a small drawing of the symbol they had seen earlier.

"Recognize this?" she asked Maya.

Maya's eyes widened as she took in the drawing. "Where did you get this?" she asked.

Ava hesitated before speaking. "I'm not entirely sure," she admitted. "But I think it might be connected to Ethan's plan."

Maya's expression turned serious. "I think you're right," she said. "This symbol is a key part of Ethan's plan. And we need to find out what it means before he does.

Maya's eyes scanned the room, her mind racing with the implications of the symbol. "This is much bigger than we thought," she said, her voice low and urgent.

"What do you mean?" Ava asked, her brow furrowed in concern.

Maya's gaze locked onto Ava's. "Mr. Henry's plan is not just about the Amulet of Light. It's about summoning something much darker."

Jameson's eyes widened. "What are you talking about?"

Maya's voice dropped to a whisper. "Devour. He was trying to summon Devour."

Ava's eyes went wide. "What is Devour?"

Mayon's expression turned grim. "A creature from another dimension, a being of pure destruction and chaos. If Mr. Henry had succeeded, it would have brought about the end of the world as we know it."

Jameson felt a chill run down his spine. He had been a pawn in Mr. Henry's game all along, unknowingly helping to further his plans.

"But where is Mr. Henry now?" Ava asked, her voice laced with worry.

Maya shook her head. "I don't know. I haven't seen him since he disappeared after the expedition. But I know he's still out there, somewhere."

Jameson felt a surge of anger and betrayal. He had trusted Mr. Henry, and now he realized he had been played.

"We need to find him," Jameson said, his voice firm. "We can't let him summon Devour."

Maya nodded. "Agreed. But we'll need to be careful. Whatever Mr. Henry has planned, it's going to be big."

Ava looked at Jameson, her eyes filled with concern. "Are we sure we're ready for this?"

Jameson nodded, his jaw set in determination. "We have to be ready. We can't let Mr. Henry succeed."

As they began to formulate their plan to stop Mr. Henry, Jameson couldn't shake off the feeling that they were in way over their heads.

Jameson's mind was racing with thoughts of Mr. Henry's sinister plan to summon Devour. But he couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to it. He turned to Maya.

"What about Ethan's plan?" he asked. "What did he have to do with all this?"

Maya's expression turned guarded. "Ethan was a pawn in Mr. Henry's game, just like you were," she said. "But Ethan's goal was different. He wanted to use the Amulet of Light to bring about a new era of peace and prosperity."

Jameson raised an eyebrow. "The Amulet of Light? You mean the same thing we've been searching for?"

Maya nodded. "Yes, the same one. But Ethan didn't want to use it for his own gain like Mr. Henry did. He wanted to use its power to bring people together, to unite them against a common goal."

Ava's eyes lit up with interest. "So, what happened to Ethan's plan?"

Maya's expression turned somber. "Ethan disappeared before he could put his plan into action. But I think Mr. Henry found out about his intentions and silenced him."

Jameson's anger boiled over at the thought of Mr. Henry silencing Ethan. "We need to find out what happened to him," he said, his voice firm.

Maya nodded in agreement. "I'll help you find out, but we need to be careful. Mr. Henry is still out there, and he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants."

As they continued to discuss their plans, Jameson couldn't help but wonder what had really happened to Ethan. And what secrets lay hidden in the Amulet of Light.
