Arachne led them to a chamber filled with mirrors. The walls, floor, and ceiling were all made of polished glass, reflecting every angle and movement.
"This is the Labyrinth of Reflections," Arachne said, her voice echoing off the mirrors. "Here, you will confront the true nature of your reality."
Maya felt a sense of unease as they entered the labyrinth. She didn't like being surrounded by so many mirrors, it made her feel like she was being watched from all sides.
As they walked through the labyrinth, Maya saw reflections of herself from different times and places. She saw herself as a child, playing with Kael in the forest. She saw herself as a young warrior, fighting alongside her comrades. And she saw herself as an old woman, looking back on a life well-lived.
But as she walked, Maya began to notice that not all the reflections were hers. She saw Kael's reflection, and then Arachne's. She saw the reflections of people she had never met before, but seemed to know.
Maya felt a sense of disorientation. She wasn't sure what was real and what was just a reflection. She looked around at Kael and the others, but they seemed just as confused.
Suddenly, the mirrors began to distort and ripple. Maya felt like she was being pulled apart and put back together again. She stumbled and fell to her knees.
When she looked up, she saw that the mirrors were still distorted. But now, she saw something new. She saw the reflections of people who were not there. She saw the Devour, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.
Maya felt a chill run down her spine. She knew that this was the true nature of their reality. The Devour was not just a monster, it was a force that threatened to consume everything.
Arachne appeared beside her, her eyes cold and calculating. "The Labyrinth of Reflections has shown you the truth," she said. "Now you must face the consequences."
Maya stood up, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that they had to stop the Devour before it was too late.
"Let's get out of here," she said to Kael and the others. "We have to stop the Devour before it destroys everything."
Kael nodded, his eyes grim. "Agreed. We'll need to gather our strength and come up with a plan."
As they left the labyrinth, Maya felt a sense of determination wash over her. She knew that they were in for the fight of their lives, but she was ready.
