I wake up and immediately turn to Jackson.
"Hey... good morning."
"morning, come on you have to head to work." He groans and pulls me close, burying his face into my neck
"But I don't wanna go."
"you have to, come on."
"But I'd rather stay here with you... can't I take the day off or something?"
"NO! I mean it's not worth it."
"Fine, fine, I'll go to work... but I'll be thinking about you all day, you know that right?"
"I will be too."
"Well, that should at least make the day go by faster for me. But I'll be counting the hours until I get to come home to you."
"text me when you're almost home okay?"
"Of course. I'll let you know when I'm on my way home. And I'll be counting down the minutes until I get to hold you in my arms again."
"good."
"Alright, I guess I should get going. I'll text you later, okay?"
"okayy."
"Don't miss me too much, okay? I'll be home before you know it."
"I'll see you soon, okay? I love you."
"I love you."

when Jackson walks in I immediately pop the confetti
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" He jumps in surprise.
"Ahh! You scared me! And thank you!"
I decorated the whole house with balloons and I'm wearing a black ruched fabrication with tie up detail on each side of the dress, off the shoulder, sheer long sleeves and is completed with invisible back zipper. He takes a step closer, taking me in his arms.
""Wow... you look incredible. The decorations and the dress... you really did all of this for me?"
"yes." He pulls me closer, placing a kiss to my temple.
"You're amazing, you know that? This is... you really outdid yourself. I love it."
"I love you."
"I love you too, babe." He wraps his arms around me and pulls me even closer, enjoying the feeling of his body next mine.
I can't help but wonder when he's gonna propose.
"What are you thinking about, babe?"
"you."
"Yeah? What about me?"
"just you."
"Just me, huh? Are you sure that's all you're thinking about?"
"yeah." He grins, pulling me closer while raising an eyebrow.
"You know you can tell me if there's something on your mind, right? You don't have to keep it to yourself."
"I don't have anything on my mind."
"Come on, you're never this evasive unless there's something you're not telling me. Spill it, what are you thinking about?"
"just marriage."
"Marriage, huh? Are you thinking about our conversation from earlier?" I nod.
"Do you want to talk about it? I can tell it's been weighing on your mind." I shake my head.
