Two weeks have passed since Millie has moved in with me, and I've been planning on the perfect proposal.
Today is the day, I've been filled with nerves as I organize the Final touches for everything. I've planned a special date night for the two of us, complete with a romantic atmosphere and a beautiful location.
we arrive at the location I have planned for the proposal which is a beautiful spot by the beach, the sun just beginning to set and casting a warm glow over everything. I take her hand in mine and lead her to a private spot where I have a small picnic setup, filled with blankets and candles. I look Millie up and down, feeling awestruck by her simple yet beautiful white dress.
"You look absolutely radiant tonight, babe. You're glowing more than the sunset."
"thank you."
I smile and lead her to the picnic setup, gesturing for her to sit down on the blanket.
"Here, sit down." I take a moment to admire her sitting there, looking beautiful and relaxed. I take a deep breath to calm myself down.
"Babe, I have something important I want to talk to you about."
"yes?" I take her hand in mine, looking deeply into her blue eyes.
"Babe, these past few weeks have been the best of my life. Having you move in with me, waking up to your beautiful face every morning...it's been everything I could ever want and more."
"the best I ever had too." I smile warmly at her words.
"I'm so glad to hear that. Because...well, I want this to be just the beginning. I want many more mornings with you, many more beautiful moments like this one. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, babe. And that's why I want to ask you something."
"yes sure, go ahead." I take a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.
"Babe, we've been together for a while now, and these past few weeks living together have been nothing short of amazing. You're my best friend, my confidante, and the love of my life. And I want to spend every day of the rest of my life with you."
I reach into my pocket to pull out a small box, opening it to reveal a sparkling ring.
I watch her reaction anxiously, seeing her hand fly to her mouth as she sees the ring
"Babe, I've been planning this for weeks, and there's nothing I want more than to spend the rest of my life with you. So I have one question to ask you..."
I take a deep breath, my heart racing as I look deeply into her blue eyes.
"Will you marry me, babe?"
"YES YES YES." I grin widely as she says yes, feeling a wave of relief and joy wash over me. I take the ring out of the box and slip it onto her finger.
"You said yes...you said yes!" I wrap my arms around her and pull her into a tight hug, feeling like the happiest man alive.
