-💔-When the contract finally arrived at Taehyung's office, he was so relieved. Jeongguk had him worried for a second that he trapped him after he gave everyone the green light to proceed with the wedding. He wouldn't put it past him to do something like that. Jeongguk and Taehyung both went together to Jeongguk's parents house so they could break the news to them and Taehyung could also have a talk about his conditions before he marries their son.
It was an interesting meeting. There were arguments and Jeongguk's parents were just flabbergasted half of the time whenever Taehyung spoke up.
"It goes against our family rules to let Jeongguk move out. Instead you are supposed to move in, Taehyung. This is how things work here." Jeongguk's mother told him, raising her voice.
"Well, I am sorry but I just can't live here. I have a very liberal way of thinking as you might call it. I believe a couple should have their own privacy once they get married and I don't think that would be possible here. Nothing against your family, I know you both and granny are nice people but it's a personal preference. But if you guys can't accept that maybe this marriage shouldn't hap-" Taehyung was immediately cut off by Jeongguk's father.
"No!! This marriage will happen. It's fine, Seulhee. You and Jeongguk can move out once you get married."
"But-" Jeongguk's mother said to the father, Who stopped her from speaking.
"I said it's alright, Seulhee." He raises his voice. "We just don't want to be completely deserted by you and our son."
"Ofcourse dad, me and Taehyung will come here often. We are moving out doesn't mean I will never meet you guys again." Jeongguk replied with a smile on his face. He has always wanted to live alone, a place where he feels at peace but his parents never let him but now he can even if he has to share the space with Taehyung.
"Any idea where you will move into? There's this amazing penthouse in gangnam that I have listed under my name, you both can move there." His father suggested and Jeongguk was so against it. He wants to be somewhere where his father's eyes aren't.
"Thank you so much, Mr.Jeon but Jeongguk will move into my apartment. It's not too far from here so you guys can visit us too anytime you want and closer to work too. We spent a lot of time there together so we are most comfortable in my apartment." Taehyung grabbed Jeongguk's hand and put it in his lap. They did spend a lot of time scheming about how to do this thing, that isn't a lie.
He could see how his mother's facial expressions were changing every second. She was fuming in anger and had a disappointed face every two seconds but she stayed quiet because once her husband agreed to what they were saying, she knew she couldn't argue against him. It's for the best.
"Sounds good. Anything else you want us to know?" Jeongguk's father's tone was a bit off but he decided to ignore that.
"I am also not leaving my job." Another bomb dropped on the Jeons. Jeongguk wanted to laugh at his parents' expressions.
"Our son in law can't work as a mere employee. What will the people say, Taehyung?" Seulhee spoke again, there were a lot of buttons being pressed.
"I am not just a mere employee. I have a high position in 'FADE'. The CEO of FADE is Park Sehoon and he was in the top 10 most influential people in business last year so it's definitely not some underground company I'm working for but rather an admirable one. Besides, we both don't have kids or any other major responsibilities and I have nothing else to do so what will I do at home?"
"There's much more you can do. You can leave your job and work for your father in a much higher position. At least that's not embarrassing. Besides if you don't want to do all that, We have duties to do too." She tried to argue her point but Taehyung chuckled.
