-💔-The day swiftly merges into a stressful one when Jeongguk decides he is going to go and visit his family. He has only been back there twice ever since he has gotten married. His new found freedom where he didn't have to come home to his family was fun and he had to take advantage of it as much as he could. Now he could be out late and sometimes not even come home and Taehyung wouldn't care.
Despite their differences they have truly started to act like roommates who sometimes eat together. So yes, Jeongguk barely missed his family. He saw his father at work which was never a delightful experience and his estranged relationship with his mother makes it hard to miss her. The only person he sometimes finds himself missing is his loving Grandma. He wonders how lonely she must be without him as his parents aren't good company at all as they are far too uptight for her.
Jimin, unlike him, visits his parents house often, Just like Jeongguk, he is also really attached to Grandma. Even after Jeongguk got married, Jimin still came at least once a week. So maybe she had some company. After all that time, Jeongguk is ready to go home.
Parking his car in the garage, he gets out of it and locks it with the key. His hands in his pockets as he heads inside the house, well the mansion in this case. As soon as he enters, the servants that are working around him are bowing and welcoming him into the house. Everything looks the same and everyone is still the same. He goes into the living room, where his grandma and mother are usually sitting in the middle of the day but when he entered it was empty. No one was there.
He stumbled around, checking the other rooms to see if they were there. Still no sign of them. He was about to walk past the glass doors that let out to the backyard with the pool and whole outside sitting area when he heard a familiar laugh. It was the sweet laugh of his granny accompanied with a more masculine laugh. He raises his eyebrow in confusion. Hurriedly, he goes outside. The weather was pleasant, the sun was out but there were still some clouds and wind to make the temperature bearable.
He looked over to the sofas to find his grandma sitting down with a fresh orange drink in her hand as she laughed. His eyes fell to the man sitting next to her and it was no other than his father in law. That's surprising for sure as Taehyung's father only started to come to their house when the proposal came. Maybe the visits became more frequent after that.
As Jeongguk came more into their vision, the grandma was the first one to notice him. Her eyes immediately lit up at the sight of her grandson who looked so handsome under the bright shining sun. She immediately put her drink down at the table and got up to greet him. Jeongguk reached her and immediately hugged her. She put her head on his chest and was smiling ear to ear.
"Oh my baby, how much I missed you." Grandma says as she feels like the tears are going to come. The tears of happiness.
"I missed you too, granny. You look so young and fresh. Did my absence make you younger?" Jeongguk asks her jokingly and she laughs again, slapping his arm.
"No, I feel older now that you have left me with your boring parents. Thanks to him coming to see me I got some company." She points at his father in law and the guy chuckles. She looks back at his face and then she finally notices the bandages on his cheek. "What happened to you here, Gukkie? Did you fall?"
Jeongguk looked at her and then at his father in law who started to avoid his gaze. She doesnt know and he didn't tell her, it seems like no one told her what happened as it is all over the headlines by now. Chaebol attacks civilians in a bar. He didn't give any attention to that because he knows the outcome.
"Yeah, tripped over and scratched myself. It's nothing to worry about, now let me meet my father in law, yeah." Jeongguk lets go of her and goes over to him, shaking his hands and then pulling him into a short hug too. "It's great to see you here too, Mr.Kim."
