I don't even know if anyone remembers what this story was like before but  it was basically Jo was forced to live with Taylor and they hated each other, I was thinking of maybe rewriting that as well as an AU for this story, so let me know if you'd wanna read it

"Drew, honey, have you seen Jo?" Taylor asked worried as the little blonde girl appeared in the living room, already in her pyjamas  and her formally neatly braided hair now in messy curls.

"She's in her room. And she is really really really sad." Drew said, as she launched herself into Taylor's arms. Taylor easily picked her up letting the little girl rest her head on Taylor's shoulder

"Do you want to come with me and check on her?" Taylor asked and Drew nodded, from the corner of her eye she saw her mom looking a bit displeased as she poured herself a glass of wine while talking to Scott. Everyone else had left already, but Gracie. Gracie was, actually Taylor didn't know where Gracie was.

As Taylor carried Drew upstairs she heard soft voices coming from Jo's room, for a second Taylor debated going closer. She could also just tuck Drew into bed, the tiny girl got heavier and heavier by the second.

Taylor walked into Drew's room and gently lowered the little girl on to the bed. It was easily three hours past her usual bed time, and Drew was already half asleep. Taylor made sure that all the stuffed animals were placed currently and that Drew was comfortable before gently kissing her goodnight.
"Love you kiddo." Taylor whispered as she turned on the nightlight and closed the door.

Taylor decided to go into Jo'a room and she saw Gracie and Jo talking. Jo had dried tears in her face and Gracie's eyes were glistening with tears which she was trying to hide.

"Is everything alright?" Taylor asked carefully and neither one nodded but both looked at Taylor and Taylor tried to hide a smile at their similarities. They even gave Taylor the same surprised look when she said something neither one of them expected

"Sure." Jo mumbled underneath her breath and Gracie solemnly nodded along

"Why wouldn't it be?" Gracie asked, her voice most definitely betraying her and she was on the verge of tears

"Cause you don't look like everything is okay."

As soon as Jo was out of ear shot Gracie broke down in sobs, throwing herself in Taylor's arms sniffling and sobbing hysterically.
"What happened?" Taylor asked softly, rubbing small circles on Gracie's back

"I can't tell you." Gracie sniffles, and Taylor looks at Gracie confused. Her and Gracie tell each other absolutely anything, they are close friends and that is very unlike Gracie.

"Is it about Jo?" Taylor asked carefully and Gracie nodded. Taylor held Gracie a little closer

"But it's complicated, I was talking to her cause she was crying but she wouldn't tell me."
Gracie sniffles

"Then tell me why you are crying." Taylor encouraged, if it was about Jo, she wasn't gonna let anything slide
"I can't tell anyone."

"Did anything else happen?" Taylor asked softly, and she felt a little like she was parenting Drew but she wouldn't ever say that out loud.

"Jo made me promise not to tell you. That's how I got her to talk to me." Gracie said and Taylor knew that today she wouldn't get anything out of Gracie, today she'd just have to let it be.

"Do you want to stay in the guest room tonight? It's already late and I don't want you driving home alone." Taylor said very overprotective, and suddenly it felt like parenting Jo rather than Drew.

Taylor gently guided Gracie to the bedroom close to her own master bedroom and unlike Jo Gracie didn't complain, she just instantly plopped down on to the bed.

That whole night Taylor was up tossing and turning in her bed, turns out she wasn't the only one. Cause a couple of minutes later Drew appeared.

"Hey sweetie, is everything alright?" Taylor asked and Drew shook her head
"I had a really bad dream." Drew mumbled and Taylor immediately sat up

"Come here sweetie." Taylor said and Drew climbed on to Taylor's lap, wrapping her tiny arms around Taylor's neck and snuggling closer to Taylor.

"Do you want to tell me what it was about?"
Taylor asked softly and Drew shook her head

"Taylor I'm hungry." Drew said after twenty minutes and an episode of SpongeBob later, it was already one in the morning and Taylor knew she should be stricter on bed time, but Drew was jet lagged and used to European time now and it was summer time.

"You can have some fruit if you want." Taylor suggested and Drew looked at her a bit disgusted
"I'm not hungry anymore." Drew said and Taylor had to hold herself back from laughing out loud, that was Jo speaking.

The next morning Taylor woke up, it was around 9.30 and Drew was asleep on top of Taylor. Taylor was trying to not move in order to not wake Drew. She could hear faint noises coming from the kitchen, it sounded like Jo making breakfast.

Somehow Taylor managed to make sure Drew remained asleep on the bed, she was now walking downstairs and she saw Gracie sitting on the counter drinking a cup of coffee while Jo was making pancakes.

To Taylor it made alot of sense that Jo was making the pancakes and she made a mental note to thank Jo for that later, if Gracie were to cook in her kitchen she'd have to renovate.

Taylor quickly kissed the top of Jo's head before taking a sip out of her coffee mug making Jo flip her off.

"My coffee." Jo grumbled and Taylor weakly slapped her against her arm

"Caffeine is bad for you, stops you from growing so you should really stop drinking it."
Taylor said, mustering the very short girl from head to toe.

"I'm not that short." Jo snapped and Taylor raised an eyebrow, usually Jo wasn't that hormonal and quick to upset

"Yes you are but at least you're cute." Taylor said pushing Jo's mug back to Jo, only for Jo to find it empty
