Jo didn't know what to say when she stood face to face with Karlie Kloss. Karlie looked at her with a mixture of pity and something Jo couldn't quite pin point.

Karlie didn't say anything either and Jo didn't know what to do. It's like her feet were glued to the ground. Five years have passed since she had last seen Karlie. Everyday she missed Karlie but now that she was standing infront of her?

Jo didn't know what to do anymore, the thoughts in her head were going crazy and she wasn't even sure if Karlie even wanted to see her.

"Karlie?" Jo asked carefully, very scared and
She didn't even know what she was scared of

Karlie just nodded and Jo was convinced she was in a dream or some sort of parallel  universe. This was just not true.

"What are you doing here at this time? Do you know how dangerous New York is at night? Where is your sister?" Karlie rambled and Jo shrugged
"She's in Poland." Jo mumbled and Karlie raised an eyebrow

"And she lets you wander around in New York? At night? Alone?" Karlie asked and somehow she knew all this, kinda mean. Why couldn't she have just ran into Selena, Selena wouldn't have given a single fuck.

"Stop it, it's none of your business." Jo snapped and Karlie seemed to be a bit taken back by that but just like Taylor she refused to back down

"Yes it is. Because you're too young to be walking around here. Alone." Karlie said, her arms crossed and Jo rolled her eyes

"Also you look like you've been crying." Karlie said a little worried, and Jo rolled her eyes
"Why do you care? You haven't cared for the last five years."

"You have no idea what happened, call your sister and go home." Karlie said strictly and Jo crossed her arms defensively

"I won't." Jo spat and Karlie looked at her and it felt like she was reading her mind, it scared Jo because she knew she knew a lot about Karlie but what she seemed to have forgotten was that Karlie knew equally much if not more about her.

"I'm not letting you walk around here alone. And since you think this is safe I am not even gonna ask where you were planning on going. So either call your sister or I will." Karlie said and Jo hated how much authority Karlie thought she had

"yeah, what if I dont? Cause you don't have her number." Jo sassed yet Karlie's expression remained icy

"I have Tree's number, and she will call Taylor and give her my number if I explain to her what you are doing." Karlie said and Jo didn't know what to do. She couldn't go back to Blake and Ryan, they'd ask too many questions and maybe she could just go to Taylor's place.

"How about you leave me alone? And I go to Taylor's place?" Jo suggested, her voice indicating that she was clearly annoyed

"If Taylor's fine with you, walking from here, all the way to Taylor's apartment, and you stay without any security. Than sure." Karlie said and Jo began starting to realize who taught her everything about sarcasm

"Fine, I'll call her." Jo said, clicking on Taylor's contact information and she saw the colour drain from Karlie's face as soon as Taylor awnsered

"Yeah, uhm hi Taylor. There's someone really annoying who wants to talk to you. Yeah you might know her." Jo said sarcastically and passing the phone to Karlie who seemed like she was about to pass out.

"Hi, so uhm. Weird thing. I just ran into Jo. In the middle of the night. In New York and I don't know what I'm supposed to do with her cause I don't wanna have her walking around here on her own." Karlie rambled and for a second Taylor didn't respond, what stood out to Taylor was that Karlie didn't even say her name yet she faintly heard Taylor mutter Karlie's name under her breath.

"Jo, I thought you were spending the night at Lucas? And why didn't you call Blake to pick you up? What happened?" Taylor asked and somehow Taylor was connecting all this a lot faster than Jo thought she could.

"Don't wanna talk about it." Jo grumbled and Taylor seemed to understand something happened and Karlie did too. This was scary.

"Okay, Jo, sweetie. I don't know what to do. I'd pick you up if I was there but you know I'm not." Taylor said and it was weird how Karlie reacted everything she heard Taylor's voice but Taylor reacted the same to Karlie's. From what Jo could hear.

"Taylor, I don't wanna go to Blake's and Ryan's now, they'll ask so many questions and blackmail me into awnsering them."

"Jo, calm down," Taylor said and someone was calling out her name in the background

"I really have to go now. But yeah we will talk about this sneaking off at night when I get home."

"Where is she supposed to go now?" Karlie asked and there was a silence on the line and Jo shrugged. Taylor wouldn't make her go to Blake and Ryan if she didn't want to, though it was mainly cause of all of their kids and Taylor didn't want to put more on Blake and Ryan in the middle of the night.

"She can come to my place if she wants. And if it's alright with you Taylor." Karlie suggested tentatively and she knew that right now Taylor's thoughts were running a million miles an hour and she was mentally making a pro and contra list.

"Is Josh there?" Taylor asked and Jo didn't know who that was nor she knew what be did to Taylor for Taylor to sound so disgusted when saying his name

"No, he's on a business trip in LA." Karlie said and Taylor took a deep breath
"She can, I'll tell Blake and Ryan that you'll bring her by tomorrow. Jo we'll text later."
Taylor said and she hung up without another word, which was very unlikely for Taylor. But Jo knew that Karlie could still be a sensitive topic for Taylor and she wasn't entirely sure but maybe she heard Taylor sob a few times during the call.

"Okay, come on Jo. My car is like a five minute walk from here." Karlie said and Jo trotted behind her
"How do I know you're not kidnapping me?" jo sassed and Karlie shrugged
"If I wanted to kidnap you I wouldn't have called your sister to ask for permission and texted Tree to send her my exact location."

Jo couldn't say anything against that but it felt weird to be with Karlie after all these years. Karlie was walking pretty fast and Jo noticed that she always walked this fast too.

"So you're really fifteen now?" Karlie asked and Jo shrugged
"Yeah?"
"the last time I saw you you were ten." Karlie said, a hint of sadness in her voice and Jo bit the inside of her cheek
"I know."

"Look Jo, I'm sorry. I don't know how you feel about everything that happened but a lot happened and it's just really complicated. I never wanted to leave you." Karlie said and there was a certain sincerity in her voice that hurt a little

"It doesn't matter." Jo grumbled and she could see the pain in Karlie's eyes. But Jo didn't care, Karlie was being nice to her right now, but Karlie was the one who left her

"Yes it does." Karlie said carefully and jo shook her head
"You don't even know me." Jo spat and Karlie rolled her eyes
"Yes in fact I do. Considering I've raised you for seven years of your life."

"Uh huh,sure." Jo groaned
"I know that you're favourite food is strawberry's and that you hate it when anyone calls you Josephine. You also love Meredith the most out of all cats and you're very scared of Tree even if you don't show it, because when you were six Tree threatened to take away all your Barbie's. And she promised she'd always find something to take away. Is that enough? Or do you want more?"
