How cute would a Gracie adoption story be? Has anyone ever read one and can send me the link? It sounds so cute💕

"So what are we gonna say? You're not my daughter? Congratulations?" Gracie's mother said, her voice dripping with sarcasm and Jo and Gracie looked at each other confused.

Gracie had a million thoughts running through her head and somehow time seemed to be standing still, what if she wasn't her parents daughter? What was going on here?

She felt Jo stumble into her arms and they were gonna keep listening however suddenly the conversation stopped and Tree opened the door.

By the looks written on everyone's faces it was definitely not welcome for any of them to step inside the room.

Tree was looking at her with pity, Taylor straight up refused to look at her, Blake was looking at Taylor, she seemed pretty angry, her parents, like usual gave her judgemental looks and Gracie's parents were looking at her like they've seen a ghost in that moment, that's when Jo noticed Austin who was now glaring at Jo angrily

"Who is not whose daughter?"
Gracie asked yet her question was directed at her parents rather than anyone else

"Get out, both of you this isn't your conversation." Taylor said, it was a tone Jo hadn't heard from her before

"What, Taylor, my parents are here, and I am an adult." Gracie said and Taylor rolled her eyes and Tree shot both Jo and Gracie an annoyed yet caring look
"Get out, it's for the better, trust me."

"No, what was going on?" Jo demanded and Taylor turned around
"Don't raise your voice at me."

"What is going on here? Mom? Dad?" Gracie asked softly and her parents only shook their heads, Gracie's mom seemed to be on the verge of tears and Andrea was glaring at her like she had just killed her pet.

"Why were you even eavesdropping, this was a private conversation." Taylor yelled and Jo looked over at Tree who quickly walked over to her and whispered
"Jo, trust me, leave."

"No I wanna know what's going on." Jo said and Gracie nodded along and both Andrea and Scott rolled their eyes

"Just tell them already. Tell Jo how she's ruined the family." Andrea said loudly and clearly annoyed by everything that was happening around her and Jo felt herself growing more anxious and Trees grip on her tightened.

"Mom, she did not ruin the family, she doesn't have a single clue what's going on." Austin yelled and Jo was really thankful that he appeared to be on her side. Or whatever her side was.

"Oh shut up Austin, till ten minutes ago you had no idea what was going on either." Blake yelled and Austin groaned
"Yeah, you don't even have a right to know however Taylor told you everything. This is about our family, why are you even involved in that."

"Taylor needed advice and I was there." Blake yelled and Jo looked up and Gracie, completely confused, Gracie looked equally confused and Gracie kept on looking at her parents who did not even seem to care

"Just tell them already what's the worst that could happen." Andrea yelled and Taylor raised an eyebrow
"I can give you so many scenarios how this could go wrong."

"What is even going on?" Jo asked and Gracie nodded and Gracie's dad finally spoke up
"Just get it over with."

"No, she's a child. I am not telling her that."
Taylor yelled and Jo felt slightly offended. She wasn't a child anymore and she didn't want to be treated as such. She needed to know, she was sick of all the twisted lies and the way that everyone always excluded her.

She wanted to know why everyone has hated her all her life, and she just needed to know. Taylor was furious and Jo didn't understand why, she didn't seem to be mad at her, but she was also rude to Gracie and she was treating Gracie liken a child, which was very unlikely for her. She always respected Gracie and treated her like an equal but now she seemed to be talking down to Gracie, as if Gracie was a stupid child.

Gracie also looked very hurt and Jo was sure she was feeling just as small and unimportant as she did. Gracie looked at Taylor, a tiny smile on her face hoping tobst least get some reassurance from Taylor, and Taylor didn't smile back, she didn't even acknowledge her.

"Sooner or later she'll find out anyways so just spill it Taylor Alison Swift." Scott yelled and his voice managed to make everyone in the room shut up, even Tree. However while everyone seemed intimidated Tree didn't seem intimidated at all, she stood there, hands on her hips
"I agree with Taylor, this isn't something that we should just drop randomly" she said and Andrea snorted
"You're the publicist, stop pretending like you are more."
Tree didn't even seem to be bothered, or she had a really good poker face and both Taylor and Jo were now glaring at Andrea.

"As someone who had been there for Jo more than you have, I think I do have a say in this."
Tree said coldly and Andrea raised an eyebrow and a tiny smile formed on Jo's face

"You think this is funny?" Scott snapped and Jo shrugged
"Not really funny but true."

For a second Jo was sure she saw a tiny proud smile on Trees face however she wasn't sure, Taylor also bit down on her lower lip trying to stifle a laugh however Andrea really didn't find this funny.

"Somebody needs to teach you manners young lady." Andrea said and Jo shrugged again and for some reason Gracie's mom seemed to be kind of proud of her. Jo didn't understand that reaction but she really mind.

"Fuck this, just tell her." Austin snapped and Andrea spun around facing him
"Language."

"We are not telling anyone anything." Taylor snapped and Blake yelled
"Taylor, it's evident something is wrong now, she's gonna keep asking. She is not dumb. Just go ahead and fucking tell her."

"Tell me what?" Jo yelled and Taylor looked at her surprised
"Fine. But don't say I haven't warned you."

Andrea took a deep breath
"So, Josephine, you are Scott's daughter, however your mom..."
