I almost lost my Duolingo streak. On an even worse note next week school starts again. Do I feel ready in any way, shape or form? No. Do I like the people there? Excite a few, hello no. This summer was amazing, three weeks in Italy and seeing Taylor live?! Why would I wanna go back to my normal, boring, zero tan, zero glitter life?! 😭😭😭

Can you motivate me somehow ?

It was Saturday and everyone was packing their stuff for London. Though it all lacked the usual enthusiasm, Jo didn't ask about the surprise songs, Taylor wasn't singing the setlist to herself, Drew wasn't watching the movie on repeat. It was all different.

Jo hadn't made new bracelets, she used some old ones, loosly tossing them into her suitcase.

Jo simply did not want to go, she was scared, she knew everyone was scared and she somehow had a bad feeling about this, she knew that this wasn't gonna be good. Could she explain how or why? No, did she knew it? Oh she knew it.

She felt as if everything bad that could happen on this trip was gonna happen.

Jo dragged her suitcase into the hallway as the doorbell rung. That was very unusual, if it was a friend of Taylor with whom she had scheduled that they would come up, security would just let them in. If it wasn't a close friend, security would call Taylor. When the doorbell rung it usually meant that it was a friend who stopped by unannounced.

Taylor shuffled over to the door, in her favourite cat slippers, and one of her work out outfits. Jo and Taylor had matching purple and blue ones, that may be because Taylor accidentally ordered two sizes too small but Taylor often times drags Jo along with her to all her work outs. Considering Jo has always been the more athletic one, she never had anything against working out with Taylor, but it was very exhausting whenever Taylor demanded tougher work outs, to 'challenge' herself.

"Jo? Do you want to play tennis later?" Taylor called out and Jo shrugged. Jo had tennis lessons from till she was four up to when she was ten when Covid started. And she still okayed a lot with Taylor's staff or Taylor since at least in LA Taylor had her own tennis court.

When Jo was younger Taylor had put her in as many sports as humanly possible, just so she would get all that energy out of Jo. The only sports she ever did, on a more serious level however, were swimming and tennis. But she had to stop swimming due to an injury a couple years back so now she either played tennis with Taylor or went to the gym with her.

Taylor opened the door and gasped when she saw who was standing there. Gracie, tears on her face, her mascara all smudged and Taylor immediately motioned for Jo to leave.

Jo walked into the music room, knowing very well she could eavesdrop from there.

"Look, Taylor I am so so so so so sorry. I never meant anything I said, you're like the best friend ever and also probably like the very best sister. You just know everything and how to handle everything and I know it's a really fucked up apology but I just really didn't know what to do and I was overwhelmed and like my whole world fell apart somehow." Gracie sobbed and Jo, who, was looking through the keyhole, could see Taylor hug Gracie

"Gracie. I'm really sorry too. I shouldn't have been so mean, I didn't even realize how hard all of this must have been for you. And maybe I shouldn't have kept all this a secret from you, you were an adult and all this lying was definitely not the right way to go." Taylor said, kissing the top of Gracie's head and Jo had to bite her lip so she wouldn't laugh, Taylor treated Gracie like she treated Jo.

"Wait what made you come here?" Taylor asked, and Jo knew that Taylor knew that something else was going on there

"I talked to my mom. And uhm, so I asked her and you know she is still married to my dad and yeah uhm apparently your dad and my mom still yeah kind of have an affair and I was just completely lost it and got on to the next plane. Like I swear this is not the mom I
know."
