"Ha! I got a strike, bitches!" Cristina exclaimed triumphantly as she made her way back to her seat, reveling in her bowling success. "Your turn, Satan. Send those pins down to Hell!" Cristina playfully encouraged Addison, giving her a friendly pat on the shoulder before settling back with her soda.
Addison rose from her seat, carefully selecting a ball and stepping up to the lane. With a focused aim, she released the ball, watching as it knocked down six pins in one satisfying swoop.
"Well, six pins are now in Hell," Addison quipped with a chuckle, preparing for her second shot. As she released the ball once more, two more pins fell, adding to her growing score. "This is so much fun. I'm imagining my ex-husband and his sister's faces on those pins, and it's like a wonderful stress relief," she shared with a mischievous grin, finding solace and enjoyment in the playful competition of the game.
"I can't stop imagining Derek and my mother," Meredith quipped with a chuckle as Arizona rose and selected a ball. "How about you, Zona?"
"I just see pins as pins," Arizona replied nonchalantly, then took her shot, missing the pins completely.
"Gutterball!" Teddy exclaimed, breaking into laughter."If you channel your frustration through the pins like Mer and I do, maybe you'll knock one down," Addison playfully ribbed, chuckling.
"Cristina scored a strike without envisioning faces on the pins!" Arizona argued as she prepared for her next shot.
"When did I say that? I'm picturing Burke's annoying face on each one; maybe that's why I got a strike," Cristina quipped, laughing.
"Fine, I'll picture all of your faces then," Arizona muttered, lining up her shot, stunned when she scored a strike. "Wow, it actually works. Teddy, are you visualizing faces on the pins too?"
"Absolutely! It's common knowledge that directing your frustration at the pins helps improve your game," Teddy chuckled as she readied herself for her turn.
The bowling alley echoed with laughter and friendly banter as the group continued their game. Each player developed their unique strategies - whether visualizing loved ones, foes, or simply focusing on the pins themselves. The clatter of falling pins was accompanied by shared jokes and camaraderie, creating a light-hearted and enjoyable atmosphere.
Despite their varied approaches, all the players found success in their own way. The game became more than just a competition; it transformed into a bonding experience, fostering connections and memories that would last beyond the final frame.
As the game progressed, each player's unique style and personality shone through, adding a layer of depth and character to the friendly competition. Laughter filled the air, mingling with the sound of rolling balls and crashing pins, creating a lively and joyful ambiance that encapsulated the essence of friendship and shared moments. Each strike and spare was met with cheers and high-fives, reinforcing the sense of camaraderie and unity among the group.
In the midst of the fun and excitement, the game of bowling became a canvas for friendship, laughter, and memories in the making. The shared experience of knocking down pins and sharing laughs bonded the group even closer, creating a tapestry of moments that would be cherished for years to come.
"Okay, that was fun, now I need food." Addison groaned as she changed her shoes, feeling the hunger pangs kick in after the exhilarating evening they had just spent together at the bowling alley.
"We did pass a pizza place on the way here, and you know I never say no to pizza," Meredith chimed in with a bright smile, her eyes pleading with her friends to indulge in some cheesy goodness.
