The Ruling - Bellamy Blake

26. Tondc

I'm walking next to Bellamy and Clarke as Finn's being taken to Tondc.

Clarkes clearly hurting. She killed the boy she loved.
"You did the right thing." I whisper to her.
"Now I get to live with it." She says.
"We've all done things we have to live with." I tell her. Bellamy nods at my side.

"You think this truce is a bad idea?" Clarke asks him.
"I think we're wasting time on politics while our friends are in trouble."
"We need their army."
"Yeah, and it's also been losing to them forever." I remind her.
"We need an inside man." Bellamy says. I think an inside man would help us greatly, but disagree with it being Bellamy.

"It's too dangerous." Clarke says.
"Look if you made it out, I can make it in."
"I said no." She says sternly. Bellamy looks at me.
"We just lost Finn, we can't lose someone else." I say softly.

Clarke walks up ahead and Bellamy turns to me.
"Nov, I know you agree with me." He says.
"I do. But I just don't want it to be you." I say.

We stop to rest and Clarke and I start setting up closer to the grounders.

Bellamy grabs my arm.
"It's safer on our side. Don't sleep over here."
"There are no more sides. We need to trust them." I say. Bellamy nods setting his bag down next to mine and laying down next to me, putting his arm around me. I'm glad he trusts my decision.

In the morning we pack up and leave.

I'm walking with Octavia following behind Lexa and Gustus.
"Once this is all over, we're getting ourselves horses." I say to her. She smiles to me.
"Real grounder style, huh?" She asks.
"If we fight like one, might as well ride like one." I say making her laugh.

Someone behind the gate yells before opening it.

"Weapons." Gustus says to us all.
"We need to disarm before we enter." Lincoln says. I drop my gun and knife into the basket as Octavia hands him her sword. I draw mine out before handing it to him as well. I don't like giving them up but this is for the alliance.

We walk in and the grounders start yelling in Trigedasleng.
"We need to learn this too." I whisper to Octavia.

Gustus starts punching the man.
"Commander you need to stop him. They'll blame us for this too." Clarke says running to Lexa. She doesn't respond. I step over.
"Lexa, stop him." I say. She speaks to him and he gets off of him.

"The sky people march with us now. Anyone who tries to stop that will pay with their life." Lexa says to everyone before starting to walk.
"Feeling very welcomed." I mutter.
"Warm welcome." Bellamy mutters at the same time making us both smile.

Finns body gets set up on wood while Lexa starts speaking in Trigedasleng. Lincoln translates for us. I hate not knowing what's being said. The second my people are out of that mountain I'm going to have Lincoln teach me it.

Indra hands Lexa the torch. She turns to Clarke handing it to her. Clarke grabs it standing by her, lighting the wood.
"Yu gonplei ste odon." She says as Finn's body lights up in flames.

I put my hand on Ravens shoulder, knowing that this is hard for her.

Once it is all done we go inside to eat. We stand by our seats.
"Please accept this gift commander. We drink this at special occasions. I believe this qualifies." Kane says handing her a bottle.
"Thank you, Marcus of the Sky People." She says.
"You're welcome, Lexa." He says before saying in Trigedasleng.

"Clarke. Nova. Let us drink together." Lexa says.
"It would be our pleasure." Clarke says. Lexa hands us both cups.
"Heda. Allow me." Gustus says taking a sip before handing it back to her.
