I open my eyes and look around seeing that it's only me and Raven in there.

"Raven. Where's everyone?" I ask sitting up quickly.
"They left a while ago and they haven't come back. You were asleep so I told Clarke to let you rest." She says. I stand up quickly.
"What do you mean they haven't come back?"
"I don't know. I can't hear them. It's too quiet."

I grab my sword and walk outside. No one is there. The only thing around us is burnt skeletons. My heart sinks to the floor as I run around looking for any survivors, anyone. There's no one here.

Confused I run back inside walking over to a gun on the floor. It still has one bullet. I hand it to Raven.
"I'm going to go look for them. Anyone. This has one bullet let's hope you don't need it." I say.
"What about you? You need one." She says. I shake my head lifting the sword.
"I'll fight grounder style." I smile. "Do you have a knife?" She nods. "Good. I'll be back as soon as I can."

I walk out and start walking into the trees. I keep my eyes open and my sword drawn. If the grounders took everyone they could get me too.

I notice one of our guns on the floor. I run over to it and start looking for footprints. Two pairs. Maybe it's Bellamy and Finn. I grab the gun and see it's out of ammo, they could still be alive.

I hear a twig snap behind me and spin around making sure to lift the gun just to scare whoever it is.
"Put the gun down. We're here now." Kane says. I sigh relieved.
"You survived the landing?" I ask dropping the gun.
"We did. We're looking for any more survivors. It broke apart as we fell. What are you doing out here alone?" He asks. I see many more come out of the trees. Including Abby. She runs to my side.

"Looking for survivors. Anyone have any ammo they're willing to share? This one's out." I say lifting the gun.
"You don't need guns anymore. The guards will take care of it." She says. I burrow my eyebrows slightly. She has to be joking.

"No. My friends are out here. There is only one of us that I know for certain is alive and she doesn't have much longer if I don't find the rest." I say.
"We'll help you." Kane says.
"Then give me ammo or a gun." I say stepping forward.
"Where's Clarke?" Abby asks.
"I don't know." I answer honestly watching as her face drops.
"Nova, we're here to help you. You won't need a gun."

"You don't know what you're up against. The grounders have them. If we don't find them soon there won't be anyone left to find." I say harshly.
"Then tell us how. Show us where they are." I sigh defeatedly looking back down at the footprints noticing that they start to part.

"Two of us were here. They split, meaning they were running. My guess is from the grounders. The gun that was left has no ammo, meaning they used the last one out here or they wouldn't have carried it. There isn't a dead body laying around, so unless it was taken they're still alive. We need to go. They went this way." I say starting to walk bringing my sword out.

"What are the grounders like?" Kane asks.
"Vicious. They have perfect aim. They won't touch guns, they use blades, spears, and arrows. Their teeth even. Took this one in battle last night." I say lifting the sword.
"You fought last night?" Kane asks quietly. I nod.
"We tried to make peace with them, and they weren't having it. So we blew up a bridge. They attacked last night and we blasted off our dropship killing those around."
"How many lost?"
"I don't know. Like I said, once I woke up everyone was gone who left the dropship."
"So you left too?" One of the guards asks.
"I'm not leaving them out here alone. They're my people, I owe it to them to find them." I say.

"It's not safe for you out here." Kane says. I stop and face him.
"No. It's not safe for you out here. I know these trees. I know how they fight." He just looks at me clenching his gun. "The grounders like to hide in the trees, so keep your eyes open." I add before turning around.
